5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
I popped the top and gave it a good sniff, and even though I couldn’t quite put my finger on the aroma, it was very nice. I did the "swoosh and spit" taste test and it was very smooth and not what I expected from a beer with an IBU rating of 120. It had an awesome taste that was not overwhelming at all, smooth & robust with a small bite at the end. With an ABV of 8%, it accented the beer extremely well. The color pours of creamy honey and overall, this beer was quite amazing. It’s no wonder people will travel far distances for this brew.

Can from White Lies Brewing, Sumner. Tried from the can (as suggested) and in a nicely chilled tulip. Pours hazy golden (not as cloudy as some NEIPA’s) with fruity hop aroma and taste: noticable pineapple with citrus peel bitterness in the finish. Prefered it in the glass (decent lacing) but IBU’s well hidden either way. Excellente Jabic (590) - Plainfield, Vermont, USA - JUL 21, 2017
Ar: Lemon and pineapple, medium-low intensity; pith, orange, cinnamon, and resin. Ap: Golden and hazy, though not turbid; large off-white head with phenomenal retention, leaving a unique, beautiful pattern of squiggles and dashes made with foam. T: Thick resin; the resin persists and segues into lime, mandarin orange, and tart berries; bitterness is high but smooth; light cracker malt but with a fairly firm sweetness; clean alcohol warmth, with alcohol also lending to richness and slight sweetness; lime and resin on the finish, with a long, lingering bitterness. P: Medium-full body with quite high carbonation, very lush and rich though not cloying at all. O: This is a uniquely delicious 2XIPA; the hop flavor is thick and intense, mingling with a rich but still very drinkable malt profile; nice notes of spice; looks like a dream in the glass, especially the head. The can says it is best enjoyed when sipped from there so i poured little into my ipa glass to just catch a glimpse of what im working with. It pours a bright hazy yellow which looks like sunshine. Such a nice looking beer! Smells like all sorts of tropical fruits, hops. This is suprisingly easy drinking for 120 ibu. Tastes of pineapple, mango, grapefruit, resin. Crushable for a double. Great beer, wow! freddytopper () - - JUL 20, 2017

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2017 Best IPA I’ve ever had. Drank half in a glass and half in the can and it is best from the can. tekstr1der (491) - New Hampshire, USA - JUL 14, 2017
Pours a beautiful cloudy golden with a dense pillow of white atop (4.25). Aroma is a remarkable balance of sweet malt and juicy hops, no bitterness or overly strong smells, mouth watering (4.5). Flavors are a different animal, with a mighty blast of hop dominating the sip from start to finish. Never harsh, and never too bitter, but always present. You can sense the malt in its backdrop just letting the Hops shine (4.75). Finishes ridiculously clean, not too dry, and just asking for another sip (4.75). Overall just fantastic stuff for my tastes (4.5). hershiser2 (3267) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JUL 1, 2017
Splitting a pint can with Skippy at his 40th birthday. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit juice, sour orange juice. Oh nice flavor. Pine, orange peel, grapefruit peel, mixture of citrus juice. Very flavorful, very nice pine. Tasty! meccahh69lol (226) - New Haven, Connecticut, USA - JUL 1, 2017
Poured from a can into a glass for visual inspection, but mostly drank from the can to keep the hoppy essence intact (per the cans instructions). The aroma is a dense cavalcade of boisterous, pungent, dank hopitude with thick tropical fruitness reminiscent of Rihanna’s underwear (probably, and yes, the highest compliment). The appearance is super cloudy and hazy, beckoning you into the web of its charms like a siren from Homer. The taste is well a fricking perfectly balanced tightrope walk of resin, fruitiness, and just enough bitterness; it is IPA perfected. The first time I had this I thought it was the best IPA I’d ever had and I stand by that assertion. Good for a lazy Saturday night viewing of Adaptation on Crackle broken up by a long discursive conversation about vulnerability and self-doubt with your boooooooo boooooooo and being fed avocado toast. jrodooo5 (1672) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - JUN 29, 2017
Flavorful, crisp, drinkable, pretty, & aromatic. Attractive pale gold w/ a white head & good lacing. The aroma is robust w/ floral notes. The taste while containing an abundance of hops, is smooth & goes down quite easily. The hops are so tasty without any dryness. Balanced & overall delicious! Fantastic!
