22oz bottle... Hell or High Water edition. Pours a light copper color with a finger of eggshell foam. Lots of toasted grain, rich caramel and some stale grass and traces of citrus... actually surprised how much hop flavor has lingered since the first time I tried this beer a few years ago before I started rating the suds. Still a solid beer but loosing its punch and gaining more sweet toffee flavors but the toasty grain is still adds complexity. merc7186 (3142) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - OCT 27, 2013
A: Mildly Amber/Brown Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head Ring, Great Lacing
S: Sweet Malts, Bready, Mild Piney
T: Bready, Mild Piney, Mild Boozy, Mild Malts
M: Great Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Malty, Mildly Bitter
Overall, a good beer but definitely went the way of barleywine instead of DIPA. b3shine (9018) - Indiana, USA - SEP 3, 2012
Bottle to oversized snifter (from notes). Looks good; amber with white head. Smells and tastes hoppy with a nice malty backbone and a pleasant mouthfeel. Solid. Dedollewaitor (16232) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 17, 2012

Pours muddy yellowish-brown with a small, film head. Aroma has yeast, piney, light apricot, mild bready malts and fairly vinious. Medium carbonation, fine dry and rather creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has firm bitterness, piney and apricot hops. Rather sharp, very bitter and quite unbalanced.
Bottle at Fanø Slumber Party. Muddy brown - white head. Earthy, mould, bitterness, amber malts, chocolate, roasted, berries, fruity, wierd. Christian (13755) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2012
Cloudy dark golden with a lasting off-white head. Fruity aroma with strong grapefruit, some pine and pineapple. Sweet fruity and bready malt flavour with notable alcohol and a very bitter finish Papsoe (25060) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2012
Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of FrumptyDumpty. Pours a cloudy opaque deep golden with a roughish off-white head. Intensely hoppy aroma, somewhat herbal. Rich body, fruity with loads of citrusy hops - again almost herbal. Bitter and alcoholic finish. Nice and very American. 280712 Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 10, 2012
Bomber. Poured a lovely shade of medium orange with a fluffy, sticky eggshell head.. looked good in the glass. The aroma picked up juicy orange, grape, and pineapple with black pepper and biscuity accents.. warm and welcoming. The flavor found warm caramel and biscuity malts at the core, with touches of vanilla.. peppered-up grapefruit bitterness around.. spicy, belly-warming finish with residual bitterness and supporting sugars. Heavier-bodied and filling on the palate.. this was big, but not unreasonably big, considering the ABV.. good feel and flow. Glad I got to try this.
