Un-Muzzling Olde Muzzlehatch Ratings, #99. Draught glass at the (late, lamented) original location brewpub, late August 2008. Pours the quite proper pale, foggy gold with a decent head and chunky foam leavings in the glass...typical lightly bready/yeasty, lemony nose, nothing outstanding here or particularly novel or spicy, just good honest and strong...full-bodied, lightly sweet at the front, fairly dry and bitter mineralic finish. Very solid. Lubiere (13915) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 27, 2008
A lightly hazed golden ale with a thin creamy lacing white head. A light orange peels and cloves aroma. In mouth, a restrained malt with light cloves, light bodied. On tap at brewery 13 Oct. 2008. hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - AUG 25, 2008
on tap at the brewpub. Lightly hazy golden in color with a medium off white hide. Coriander, Orange peel in the aroma with some light wheat and pale malt. Taste was orange peel, coriander, with some belgian yeast- esters and phenols.. Mostly dry, light malty sweetness and tangy wheat. Light bodied, with a very light hop bitterness in the finish. Draft at the brewpub - Poured a straw yellow in color with a small white head. A small amount of lacing on the glass. Aroma was not strong, but there was some of the orange and coriander that you would expect from a Wit. Flavor was also not very strong and followed the aroma profile pretty well. The beer was almost tasted like it was watered down... palate was thin too. Very uncharacteristic for this brewer. Disappointing...
