Poured from a bottle. Aroma has some dark fruit notes and moderate oxidation. Moderate roast notes with some light ash and tobacco notes. Some raisin and dark toffee. Pours black with a small, moderately thick, mocha head that recedes to the edges where it lingers for a bit. Light lacing and moderate legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with balanced dark chocolate and roast notes. Quite a bit of roast notes with some oxidation in the form of cardboard. Medium bitterness with some light alcohol warmth. Hints of soy sauce. Moderate dark fruit notes with some raisin character. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low, but present astringency and low alcohol warmth. Bottle at home. Pours deep brown to black with a dark beige and purple hue. Dark marroon small head. Interesting and subtle aroma that combines the smotthness of salted caramel with te freshness of raw coffee beans and paprica. Also dark pure chocolate. Thick and sweet creamy body, loads of roast and a little bitter green side to it. Lovely. Loads of chocolate in the taste. This is sheer balance and master skills. Superb! Bottle trade from SJ. Wow really good. Licorice, molasses, dark chocolate, roasted malts, raisin and hop. Finish had a hint of mil chocolate. Really good.

Medium sized brown head on top of a black beer.
Aromas of liquorice, roast, hint of soy and some hops.
Flavour is roasty, wood roast, malt roaat, smooth, cream, light liquorice, brown sugars, hops, soap, marzipan and flowers.
Aftertaste is bitter, roasted wood and malts, cream and flowers.
Low carbo, soft creamy close to silky mouthfeel, full body and a creamy texture.
Bottle shared by countbeer at Harlemmerstraat tasting. Pours thick black color. Light carb on heavier body. Notes of licorice, dark malt, chocolate, and barrel. UPDATED: NOV 23, 2014 Bottle thanks to Countbeer. Black pour with nice brown head. Aroma is blackstrap molasses, ashy, woody, burnt wood. Taste is bitter, woody, ashy, a bit too aggressive, but still quite tasty. Palate is med full bodied with med carbonation. Tasty stuff. UPDATED: NOV 24, 2014 Bottle shared @ tasting. Opaque pitch black color, average sized brown head. Aroma is malts, a bit medicinal, a hint of smoke, something weird. Taste malts, dark malts, moderately roasty, roasted bitter. Nicely roasty bitter finish. Taste is way better than the aroma, although it gets a lot better after a while.
