On tap last summer at The Alchemist. The color is a hazy honey with a thin off white head. The aroma is light of hops citrus fruits, pine. The taste also of hops but not very strong, citrus fruits a toych of malt for the sweetness. It leaves a bitter to sour taste in the mouth. It is a good summer beer, just not my style. In short: A nice low gravity medium-hoppy session pale ale.czar (9338) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 23, 2011
How: Tap at the brewpub (the now defunct brewpub). My batch was list at 3.8% and not 4.7% as currently listed here
The look: Partly cloudy orange-blonde body topped by a small off-white head
In long: Nose is moderately hoppy with some pine-tree and some dried oranges. Taste is slightly toasted white bread, plain pale crackers, a tiny bit of caramel, medium citrusy/piney hops presence. Mild bitterness, medium dryness. Nothing that really stands out about this beer, it is after all a low gravity American pale ale, but it is a highly sessionable beer which was the main goal here. About the service at Alchemist, the simple fact that while I was drinking my pint my waiter didn’t repeatedly say “I can see your moose knuckle” every time he walked by just proves that they don’t hire people like me at this pub.
on tap at brewpub. clear golden, small white head, good retention and lacing. tons of floral-piney dry-hopping notes. dry and floral, slightly garbagy and skunky... almost aggressive carbonation, light body. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAY 18, 2008
On cask at the brewpub: Pours a transparent bronze with a creamy, clingy-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet pale and crystal malts with a good, fresh grapefruity hop character. Body starts fairly full, smooth and creamy with a nice amount of malt flavor and bitter hop balance before a crisp, bittersweet finish. A nice APA. On tap at the brewpub. Pale ale series. 40 IBU. Amarillo. Lace as always.Good bitterness. A good bitterness, and that dominates the balance.

Draft at the brewpub - Poured a nice amber gold in color with a medium off-white head that hung around for a while. Aroma was hoppy with a small hint of some caramel maltiness. Flavor was also nicely hoppy with a medium bitterness. Some maltiness appeared near the end. Quite good and very drinkable. josarah (112) - Hinesburg, Vermont, USA - APR 24, 2008
UPDATED: APR 29, 2008 Draft at brewpub, pleasant hoppy aroma with a transparent roasted gold color. A well balanced beer with a session appeal.
