Draft at brewpub: citrus aroma, tan head and cloudy ruby color. Citrus is light and balanced, overall flavor is very wit like. A tasty beer.
A murky dark brown wit with a thick moka head. A strange catnip and wild herbs aroma, creamy and smooth. In mouth, a sweetish herbal wit with dry and strange character, roasted notes, coriander. An interesting experiment. On tap at brewpub, Nov. 29 2008, Alchemist’s 5th Anniversary. JoeMcPhee (9427) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 30, 2009
Deep brown cloudy beer with strange yellowish hue as well. Off-white head. Aroma is pretty nice... bright lemon citrus, toasted wheat and a bit of orange peel. Finishes with soft earthy/toasted character. A lot of dark toast, but somewhat less than you might expect. A bit of lingering coriander citrus and orange peel. Lightly cocoaish finish. Draft at the brewpub - Poured a slightly cloudy dark amber in color with a small tannish head. Aroma is estery and slightly sweet with a nutty roasted malt undertone. Flavor was also slightly sweet with citrus and spicy hops balanced with medium roasted malts. Finish is initially sweet, but the finish is the slight sourness of a wheat beer. Good one... Draft at brewpub. Fresh fruity aroma. Cloudy red amber body, light tan head. Spicy fruity flavor, nicely balanced, mild but flavorful.
