On tap at The Alchemist. The color is a hazy amber with an off white head. The aroma is of hops and also of pine. The taste is very strong on the hops and also the rye malt, the mixe of these two gives it a very special taste The aftertaste in your mouth is very nice. Draft at the brewpub - Poured a hazy dark amber in color with a thin whitish head. Some really nice lacing on the beer. Aroma is quite strong of pine resin and citrus hops. Flavor is more complex... citrus hops for sure, but a decent malty backbone to back it up. Finish is bitter and lingering. I really liked this one... A hazy orange dark amber ale with a thin lacing light moka head. A sweet maple, vanilla and hops in aroma. In mouth, a nice floral hops with sustained bitterness, crisp malt, grapefruits, rich bodied. On tap at brewery 13 Oct. 2008. hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2008
Two 12 oz pours at the Alchemist. This must be a new batch ABV was listed as 7.8 %. Hazy amber in color with a medium off white head that retains well and leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of strong pine, citrus, and earth with some rye and malt in the background. Taste is alot of earthy and piney hops, somewhat resinous with spicy rye malt and a touch of caramelized malt sweetness. Body is medium but it finishes nice and dry- alcohol well hidden. Earthy and raw, yet very drinkable. Another great hoppy beer from John. josarah (112) - Hinesburg, Vermont, USA - SEP 29, 2008
Draft at brewpub, deep amber color, clean hoppy aroma, tight white head.ABV 7.3, IBU 90. This is nice crisp hoppy beer that will sneak up on you. The higher alcohol is well masked. This a great beer.
