A reddish translucent amber IPA with a thck reddish rosé head. A pungeant c-hops in aroma with fruity hibiscus, wonderful. In mouth, a good IPA with sustained c-hops bitterness, grapefruit, and light berry points. Rich and complex. On tap at brewpub, Nov. 29 2008, Alchemist’s 5th Anniversary. Deep amber-ruddy coloured beer. Very, very hazy with a thick white head. Aroma is very hoppy, with a bright resiny nose. Loads of orange and fresh pine hoppiness. Quite fruity and a little bit floral, but not as perfumey as I would have expected. Low cohumulones which helps accent the fruit/floral character. Soft and quite tasty. Full-bodied, but not all that sweet. VTHopHead (1511) - Seymour, Tennessee, USA - JAN 25, 2009
Draft at the brewpub - Poured a reddish/pinkish amber in color with a small white head. Aroma is somewhat hoppy with a distinctly flowery character. Flavor is medium hoppy (citrus) and, again, those hibiscus flowers make their presence known. Some nice hop bitterness and slightly sour on the finish. Unusual, but I like it... josarah (112) - Hinesburg, Vermont, USA - JAN 19, 2009
Draft at brewpub: Hibicus in the nose, off white head and cloudy rouge color. Considering the 60 IBU’s this beer seemed pretty balanced. It has a little sour along with the floral flavor. I enjoyed this beer, very different, hard to categorize. DrDavid (957) - Johnson, Vermont, USA - JAN 11, 2009
Draft at brewpub. Aroma is spicy, with citrus and caramel. Cloudy red body, off-white head. Flavor is vegetable/fruity, tangy, and a little sour. Finish is sour.
