On tap at the brewpub on November 4, 2010.
Pours a very cloudy yellow-straw color with a two-finger white head and a bit of lacing. Creamy head on this one. The nose brings some banana, bubblegum, light clove, and a touch of earthiness. The taste is is all about the German yeast and takes on some really nice tones. It’s a bit delicate, but quite nice. Good body and carbonation. A really nice, easy-drinking beer and I was surprised to see the high ABV.

On tap at the 2009 Great Pumpkin Festival, Cambridge Brewing Company, Cambridge MA on 31 October 2009 at 7.0% according to the festival programme. Hazy dark gold colour. The aroma didn’t really appeal to me - spicy, estery banana fruit coupled with more spice and a heavy vanilla presence is not a combination I enjoy. Too much vanilla throughout for me. Sweet and a bit sickly. Nothing particularly wrong with it, just not my thing.

Pale amber gold pour with a thick white head. The nose is very clovey/bananaish with lots of heavy wheaty spiciness. The flavour is really nice and is where the pumpkin shines. Lots of vanilla and pumpkin pie spice. A lot of lovely banana/melon fruitiness. Rich with a lingering vanillla flavour. Really quite a unique brew that works very well. A hazed orange blonde weizen with a thick onctuous lacing white head. A sweet banana cake aroma with cloves, solvents. In mouth, a nice sweet bready weizen with cloves, orange peels, some nice little acidic points. Rich and onctuous. Tasted at brewpub, Nov. 29, 2008, Alchemist’s 5th Anniversary. Draft at the brewpub - Poured an cloudy orangish amber in color with a thick bright white head. Aroma is spicy... cinnamon and nutmeg... with a hefty amount of hefe yeastiness. Flavor of the pumpkin was just right and along with the spices, mixed well with the strong flavor of yeast. Reminded me of a Belgian... Very good.

Draft at brewpub, long lasting off white head, spicey pumpkin aroma, rich copper hazy color. This was served on cask so the level of carbonation was perfect. Not your average pumkin beer. The pumpkin and spice was still there, but the hefe really gave it completely different twist. Great fruit beer.
