3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Alchemist on my way to Hill Farmstead for BWBDV. Pours a clear golden yellow with a medium sized white head. Big sweet grain, light citrus on the nose. Grainy, with a touch of apple sweetness transitioning into a big bitterness which starts early, developing into a long bitter finish full of grapefruit. Nice, crisp and clean

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
In short: A clean, crisp, sweeter and stronger pilsner. Good beer.
How: Tap at brewpub and Vermont Brewer’s Festival 2010
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: The bright nose has grassy hops with a light spicy character. Taste is pretty much what you’d expect from a competent strong American pilsner. Lots of sweet crisp honeyed bready malts (crystal malts?), lots of grassy hops. Finish is short but sharp, bitter and a bit dry. I prefer this style a little less sugary and in the 5% range but this is nonetheless a very good example of a strong pilsner. This beer is worth it if only for the pleasure to tell anybody and everybody “I talked to my friends and we all agree, Your Mother goes down very well”

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A golden pils with a thin white head. A nice grainy chalky aroma with loads of malt. In mouth, a classy pils with Saaz hops, chalky, quite nice and interesting. On tap at VT Brewers Fest, July 17 2010.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Vermont Brewfest 2010. Cloudy dark gold pour with a decent white head. Aroma holds lots of honey, wheat, some floral hop, and a bit of yeast-- decent balance on the nose. Flavor is similar-- pretty good combination of sweet malt and light bitter hoppiness. Good pilsener-- these guys make solid brews.
