Pale straw colored pour with a tight white head. The aroma is simple. Pale malt and a touch of light hoppiness, but not much else. Simple, clean tasting brew.

Bottle. Pours gold with a fluffy white head. Light grainy malt aroma. The flavor is actually quite balanced with light sweet malt and some almost spicy hops. Surprisingly decent.

Can as gift from my gf. Pours pale golden with a big white head. Aroma of sweet corn and hops. Taste is sweet grainy, watery mouthfeel, with a low but noticeable bitterness towards the end. Not the worst of pale lagers.

Bottled. An anaemic pale gold coloured beer with some beige bubbles for a head. The aroma is corny with some buttery notes and doesn’t draw you in. The taste is thin, with just a little grassy hop. Inofffensive but very dull.

Light yellow and clear. Has a white head, medium duration. Bad aroma, chalk and wet paper. Moderate sweet flavor. Soft carbonation.

DruncanVeasey (8218) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JUN 9, 2012
500ml bottle, 5% ABV. Respectable lace and retention, bright gold beer. Soft, shrub-like hop, lightly floured malt aroma. Full and soft with a sweet, well-made, Germanic character; crisp malt and sappy hop; breadstick, honey and unsalted popcorn hints. Better than every single widely distributed lager in the UK.

Bottle. Pours clear and yellow with a medium white head that dissipates fairly quickly with some lacing. Light aroma of grain, perhaps carboard. Flavor is slightly sweet grainy. Light bitter finish. Surprisingly rich mouthfeel.

PorterPounder (7761) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 16, 2007
Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverages - 500 ml bottle. Light golden pour, soft, soapy white head. Slightly neutral aroma, hint of grassiness. Hint of honey sweetness in the flavor. Just a bit of cake mix sweetness as well. Decent lager crispness. Mouthfeel - leaning to the thin side. Better than expected.

568ml can from an offie in New Malden, 5%, 75 year edition. This was part of a ’buy 6 for Ł5’ deal. How anyone in the supply chain made any profit is beyond me. Anyway… this is golden yellow, clear, pretty much still, small foamy white head with nice lacing. Aroma is lemon juice, jif, estery bubblegum. Wasn’t expecting the frutiness. Body is medium, soft carbonation, smooth. Taste is gummy bears, soft malts, simple sugars, biscuit, a little citrus, touch of spice towards the finish. A bit weird and estery for the style. Almost has some saison character. Pretty interesting.
