2.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Had this at Pocono Beerfest. Nothing grand, but not bad either. The aroma was faint, maybe a minor bit of hop. Appearance is prototypical clean yellow, adequate head that diminishes rather quickly. It’s flavor is nothing extra special, hoppy a bit tart as well. It’s ok, but not super smooth. Ok.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
*Note: now contract-brewed at Saku, Estonia*
19.2 oz can, Riga Airport. Typical watery flavorless inoffensive Saku lager--maybe a tad of creaminess and a bit less rust on the finish but it’s the same damn stuff every time.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
My bottle was 5% ABV from beersofeurope.com. Yellow, fizzy but with a good sized, long lasting head. No surprises in the aroma - sweet, musty malt. Sweet like diluted orange juice and without and noticeable bitterness. Thin and watery. Short finish. Not awful, just very ordinary.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Mild hop aroma. Light on the tongue but slightly sticky. Hazy honey color. Lots of head that doesn’t last. Light flavor, somewhat sweet hoppy finish.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Beers of Europe.
Pours Golden, pale in colour, very clear, lots of bubbles and a nice single finger head. Aroma of Honey, Grass, Grain. Initial taste of Honey, (standard for Eastern European/Russian Lagers) then some wheat, grain, grass and some herbs, maybe lemongrass, maybe fennel...a nice crisp yet slightly bitter finish. Very nice.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. 1PT. 09 oz. Pours pale yellow with nearly zero head. Aroma has a vegetable quality to it, lightly unpleasant at times but with enough hoppiness to save it and a sweet maltiness that comes through once it gets enough air. The palate is fairly good, medium carbonation, medium in body. Flavor is somewhat sour cabbage, some carrot, mildly bitter but after a sweet and malty front. Finish is light and almost okay, it leans towards something nicely hopped and fairly dry but gets screwed up with a couple off flavors I can’t define. Good bitterness, good palate, everything else is lacking. It gives me that malt liquor type corn flavor I’ve grown to hate. Better than the last few beers off the same shelf though. Just a touch more hops might have covered up all that vegetable yuckiness. I guess I got quite a ways to go before I kill the eastern bloc section at Topp’s because I’ve not even gotten through the first half case. Hope this one will continue a streak of unskunks.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
An okey and somewhat fresh lager that works as a thirst quencher and intoxicant.
