Bought in half liter bottle at the airport of Riga (Latvia). Appearance; black beer with beige, light brown head. Aroma; dark malts, sweet dark chocolate. Taste; burned sugar, dark toffee and sweet dark chocolate. Not so much coffee as other porters do sometimes. Not a lot of hop taste, but enough for a porter. I am not a great porter fan, but this is quite easy going. Smooth after taste. Not bad. burnsey (2) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 30, 2017 does not count
Pours black in the glass with a dense creamy head. Medium bitter and slightly sweet. Very smooth, morish porter. Sure to become a favourite. Cokemonkey11 (879) - - MAY 28, 2017
Bottle. Pours black with a medium brown foam subsiding a little quick. Scent is light notes if caramel malt and porter yeast. Taste is medium notes of caramel, not sticky, but fairly plain porter. Light notes of cinnamon. Brown sugar. A bit unclean. Very good. mviljamaa (176) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - MAY 12, 2017
Pours with an okay head. Color is typical porter color, that is, coffee-like. Aroma is again typical porter: plums, dates, other dark fruits, burnt notes, coffee, mämmi, dark chocolate. A little bit of alcohol, but it’s not too distinct. Nothing surprising here, but the aroma is still very good. Palate is balanced and has both dry and oily parts. A surprisingly good palate that I’ve used to in porters. Taste is light compared to other porters I’ve had and its not overwhelmingly "portery", but rather has the sweetness and oversweet malt notes more compromised, which leads to a lighter and less "heavy" expression of the porter style. The beer is thus rather easily drinkable and one doesn’t get that "full feeling" that one gets with very rich porters, where just 2 dl might be enough to make you satisfied. This beer can be enjoyed in larger quantities without feeling full of it, so it’s in some sense similar to Guinness-style stouts. So the taste has typical porter flavours, but in addition few interesting notes like honey and vanilla. A very interesting porter that I would buy again just because of the lighter expression of the porter style, which enables one to enjoy this beer in 0.5l to 1 liter or more quantities, rather than 0.2 dl. tfontana (975) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 10, 2017
Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Manchester Wine and Liquors. Appearance is dark brown with slight reddish hue; 3-finger width, crackling, fizzy, light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is caramel malts with light anise and spice (allspice?). Taste is sweet caramel malt with mild dark fruit, earthy hops. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with moderately thick texture, average carbonation and dry, crisp, mild malt finish. Overall, some interesting features but not mind blowing.

Bottle. Black with a medium light brown head. Aroma has grain, malt and brown sugar.
Taste has burnt malt, chocolate. Lacks body which it would require a lot. Sweet. Shortish aftertaste. andrepintado (3401) - Lisbon, PORTUGAL - JAN 22, 2017
Bottle from beers of europe. Color is dark. Head is thin and beige. Medium bitterness, light to medium sweetness. Medium body. Aroma is caramel, liquorice. Flavour is chocolate, spices, caramel, dried fruits. I was expecting worse, but this is cool. HuskerTan (2202) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - JAN 8, 2017
A- Tobacco, leather, dark fruits, roasty, char.
A- Black color, black liquid, brown head.
T- Metallic, slight iron, strong tobacco, leather, roasty, smoke, char, cocoa.
P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish.
O- The aroma was nice but the flavor was a bit of a metallic and iron taste overloaded with tobacco. Not bad, not great. Henkk4 (35) - FINLAND - DEC 12, 2016
Dark brown with tan head. Aroma has coffee, roasted malts, and dark malts. The first taste is medium sweet and gets a bit sweeter in the end with some bitterness. Medium to full body with creamy mouthfeel. Average carbonation and long roasty finish.
