UPDATED: SEP 30, 2011 Bottle. Hazed yellow. Small foamy and bubbly white head. Nose is slightly malted with light citrus, dried hops, light grassiness, and light graininess. Taste has some light grains, some thinned melon-like flavors, light citrus, sweet malts and mild grassy notes. Body is light and contains minimal carbonation feel. Finishes with more fruit notes, sweet malts, grains, and almost a hint of alcohol. Not too bad.

RE-RATEBottle - 500mL pull-top. Gold bodied with a tall, fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet malt, grains, light grass and corn syrup. Taste is also sweet malt with grassy hops, grains, cereal notes and corn syrup. Light buttered toast with honey as well. Body is light-medium with a bubbly carbonation. Ends with more sweet malt notes, corn syrup, grains, cereal, and light grass.

had sort of a flowery aroma, but a nice golden color with a big, white, long-lasting head. i detected a citric taste, but mostly tasted grain, with a slightly sweet aftertaste. not a favorite of mine, but not bad either. refreshing on a hot day.

UPDATED: JUN 26, 2005 Mildly husky, grainy malt and grassy, herbal hops in the nose. Clear brilliant gold with huge and lasting white head that leaves some lace. Sweet grainy flavour with a lemon-citrus character and fair finishing bitterness. Some mild vegetal and perfumey, soap-like floral notes emerge as it warms. Light, refreshing body with strong carbonation that attacks the tongue. Bottle (LCBO, May-05).

(11.2oz bottle) Big white head atop hazy straw body. Aroma is medium sweet, bread, some caramel, light hay. Taste is medium sweet and quite bland. Think sugar water with a hint of malt. No bitterness. Smooth light body with some crispness, a bit undercarbonated. Easily passes the inoffensiveness test.

Not bad for Latvia, I suppose. Sure beats the crap outta any American swill. Pours very yellow and slightly cloudy; drinks nice and crisp with just a light hint of hops in the finish. Refreshing lil’ brew.

Cheap, corn sweetener aroma and flavor. Not a drain pour but had to wolf it down. Look at the bright side: it would beat any mass-produced Amerikansk malt liquor!

My 9th of the 10 LCBO vapid Slavic lagers. This one wins points for aroma....it lterally fills the room with floral and fruity accented malt aromas..excellent! Clear gold color in the glass...short lived white cap but good lacing. Aroma is a strong blend of ripe apple, floral hops and sweet grains...almost like someone in Latvia is trying to brew a German helles with bohemian character. Medium-light body front side is all-malty sweet but not cloying with a fair balance from (surely spalter and Hershbruker) give the taste a woodsy earthy tone with the nice malt delivery.....sweet finish that dries up later...biscuit after taste...nice Slavic lager.

500ml brown bottle. poured golden with some haze. Medium sized creamy white head. Fresh malt aroma. Nice malt accents in the flavour profile, with just a hint of grassy bitterness in the finish.
