Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - NOV 23, 2002
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2011 Huge soapy-sudzy white head, but it dissipates fast. Clear-as-glass, straw-golden hue. Very soft, like soft water. Yeasty-funky nose, with strange aromas. Slight skunky bite with faint herbal aromas. Synthetic sweetness is reminiscent of plastic, corn and fermented dough.

Ernest (7916) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 8, 2002
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow, thin density of small particles. Aroma is lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs), lightly malty (grain), with a note of solvent. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Too sweet, with some off-aromas/flavors.

hennes (934) - Fountain, Michigan, USA - AUG 26, 2002
Presence of damp pondweed hops in a thick and brackish malty body. Really weird stuff.

Drew (2470) - Kent, Ohio, USA - JUN 12, 2002
hazy gold, best when cold! prickly effervesence and a little hop bite at the back of the throat. some thin malts throughout. when it warmed, it turned ugly.

SJP (483) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 13, 2002
Not very exciting. not very sweet and the flavor is not very bold at all. Kind of a funny, metallic aftertaste though.

JPDIPSO (6317) - Wauwatosa, USA - APR 17, 2002
A slight haze with a nice head with good lace. A dry malt flavor with a decent hops balance. A sulfur/metalic finish does it in though. After warming these flavors did diminish, but first impressions count in flavor.

K-V-F-L (291) - LaVista, Nebraska, USA - APR 5, 2002
Thickish, malty, oddly calibrated but not altogether unpleasant. Would be absolutely unbearable warm, so make sure your Zelta is well-chilled. Good with heartier pizzas and pastas.

mansdibens99 (8) - USA - FEB 3, 2002 does not count
Zelta means gold in Latvian. The golden brew is all I wanted to get on tap while I was in Riga(Latvia's capitol). It's a good conversational beer.

omhper (26060) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 3, 2002
Golden coloured. Medium bodied, sweet, unclean, not very bitter. ...........

Bov (13456) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - OCT 2, 2000
amber colour, fruity aroma, well structured, bitter but a little bit simple flavor
