TheCametron (2480) - - JAN 22, 2013
Bottle. Dark Brown with a tan head. A heavy malt presence whic manifests itself in the form of powdery black chocolate. Hops lend a dryness to the whole affair which leads to a nice bitterness. Sweetness is less pronounced than other Dunkels. Very nice.

4.2
TEJA (3066) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 2, 2017
Bottle with a new label where 2017 also is present and alcohol content 5.3% from Alko, Finland. Semi lasting fluffy brown head. Clear dark red color with a small but nice sparkle. Very nice Munich malty aroma and taste. Very well fermented to give a dry malty taste with just a tiny malty sweetness and a balanced body and bitterness. A very enjoyable beer that is perfect for mild meat dishes.

2.5
Tranquillity (2335) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 27, 2017
Bottled. Clear brown body, big beige head. The aroma has malts and some berries. The taste is watery with some sweetness.

2.4
ClarkVV (6708) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 15, 2017
Draught at The Ave, 1/14/17.
Dark mahogany with ebony tones, high clarity and a light tan head atop showing moderate retention.
Lots of chocolate and caramel in the nose signifies it’s going to be quite malty. Very light minerality, hints of roast, vanilla and a bit of stale coffee-like oxidation. Not much balance, being basically all base malt-driven with no hop notes or any other acidity to speak of (no dark fruit, melanoidins, etc...). No alcohol noted.
Sweet, rather insipid and not overly balanced. Caramel is sticky and dominant, with vanilla, chocolate and moderate oxidation lingering on the finish. Some light roast attempts to balance but fails miserably. Too sweet, stale and rather lifeless, to boot.

Bottle. Dark brown in colour, with reddish tinge. Malty (quite chocolatey, slightly roasty, some caramel). Fruit (berries). Sweet with slightly sour edge. Not bad. (2008)

minihame2 (642) - Oulu, FINLAND - FEB 10, 2017
Clear, dark brown colour with a foamy tan head. Malty aroma, dark bread and some of that cellar aroma as well. It’s a bit light on the taste but it has decent malty flavours. The finish is a little bit watery. Light body, low but soft carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. Alright.

3.5
djoeye (4605) - Tromsø, NORWAY - NOV 18, 2016
Aroma; roasted malts, grass, dark caramel, nut bowl, cigarette, plum. Look; pale beige head, near black body. Taste; roasted malts, grass, dusty bread, nuts, nutshell, and a malted finish. Feel; good, rustic, organic. Overall; a nice brew. [50cl btl 5.3% BB;07.03.17/H B@?]

Marduk (7694) - Reval, ESTONIA - JUL 8, 2016
500ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Clear very dark brown color. Medium size, beige head, stays. Metallic, fatty, cardboard, pork scratchings, herbal in aroma. Roast, nutty, metallic, sourish grains in taste. Slightly acidic hops and metallic notes in aftertaste. Soft carbonation. Drinkable brew.

2.6
FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 2, 2016
500ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)
Sage stuffing aroma. Deep red, beige head, a little Wateryish palate, a bit dirty and muddy. Dusty, a bit dry. Some fruitiness and dark sugar in places. Doesn’t show the alcohol, but I can’t get excited by that fact. Poor dunkel.

2.9
kingstoni (2088) - FINLAND - JUN 23, 2016
Bottle. Deep brown color with a medium thin off-white head. Mild aroma of caramel and roasted malt. Medium sweet taste. A bit oily feel.

villevav (463) - FINLAND - JUN 20, 2016
[2016-06-20] The aroma is dominated by roasted maltiness. The taste is roasted and a bit sweet. Full-bodied, high carbonation. Refreshing and well-balanced.
