50 cL bottle. Pours almost golden dark brown with a little reddish hue. Diminished tan head. Roasted malt and corn aroma, vague chocolate like note. Flavour is medium sweet with a solid roasted malt base going into a distinct acidic touch. Nice lingering almost breadish finish yet it stays light acidic and dry. Nice one. harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUN 21, 2009
500ml bottle from Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Clear chesnut brown colour with thin beige head. Toast and malt aroma. Really good malts in mouth, give it a touch of sweetness. Some choc on aroma. Good toffee choc flavours. It’s a really good dunkel. Does everything really well. Could smell that toasty toffee choc all day. Some hop sting on finish. TBone (17565) - Pori, FINLAND - JUN 7, 2016

Mahogny brown color, small off-white head. Caramel, dry bread and some sticky metallic and acidic notes. Light to medium-bodied. Toasted rye bread, caramel, saccarine in the flavor. Light grassy hoppyness. Sweetish bready dunkel is not my big favourite.
500ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)bierkoning (13355) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - SEP 27, 2004
Sage stuffing aroma. Deep red, beige head, a little Wateryish palate, a bit dirty and muddy. Dusty, a bit dry. Some fruitiness and dark sugar in places. Doesn’t show the alcohol, but I can’t get excited by that fact. Poor dunkel.
Chocolate and maltaroma. Sweet flavor with chocolate and raisin. Raisinny aftertaste with some cacao. Nice beer, but a bit too sweet.

Bottle. Chestnut brown with a beige head. Aromas are soft and fruity with raisins and berry. Some yeast and dusty hay, too. Quite malty. Flavours are chocolate and weetabix with some dark chocolate bitterness and roast character. Some herbal notes are also evident. Earthy and fruity with a dry, bitter finish. Very good.
