Bottle. Poured into a DFH tulip glass a slightly cloudy deep amber/orange color with a 2 finger head that slowly recedes, leaving lace as it goes down. Metallic aroma in the nose along with citrus rind and some tropical fruit. Medium mouthfeel. Opens with a slightly swet caramel flavor that quickly overtaken by a fruit hop characteristic. Ends with a slight bitterness. No real trace of the 7.5% alcohol. Decent enough but not a stand out either. sherm1016 (1274) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 26, 2011
12oz bottle. Pours a deep amber color with a thin white head and some lacing. Aroma is citrus hops. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Flavor is sweet, balance, malty and hoppy. Nice bitter finish. A nice IPA. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - FEB 24, 2011
Bottle courtesy of ughsmash. Pours brown with a tan head. Smells of resin, sage, some sweet citrus. Tastes resiny and earthy with a slightly metallic finish. SudsMcDuff (8428) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - FEB 23, 2011
big resin and earthy floralness in the 2 holed face triangle .. . dark dark tan, the bill-dozer.. . really tough foam .. . but when you smell the goaline, they’re only words; just words .. . quite sweet, light hoppy mouth .. pretty slick but lucks an assertiveness like ricky suggs .. . i really enjoyed this brew, for the hop sniffers and a nice sessionable ipa that scores a touchdown and gets carried in for the 2 point conversion and then lets the other team score a consolation touchdown and then stammers incoherently ... Sampled on tap at the brewpub (Madison, WI). Pours a nice glowing amber hue, some fiery orange, ok haze, a frothy offwhite head dies to a thicker ring, a-ok lacing. Aromas are a moderate bouquet of grapefruit and florals, Amarillo gumball and lemon head/rind elements come into focus with bready and biscuity malts, a touch of sweeter toffee. By the book, Amarillo dominant. Initial is medium bodied, perhaps a bit lighter, some moderate bitterness of citrusy and floral hops, that telltale gumball and lemon sweetness from Amarillo comes into play. A fairly tame IPA, still tasty with good balance for the style. A lot of Amarillo, which I find to be a flavorful hop but not an intense of complex hop. A-ok for a local less lauded IPA. Finish is decent bitterness, lingering pale and toffee malts

A wonderful IPA. Lots of grapefruit and pine. Creamy body and dry finish. This went really well with some moderately spiced paneer at the Nepalese restaurant in Madison. arkurzynski (2427) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 31, 2010
On tap at brewery. Nice amber color in appearance. Great medium level, Northwestern hops in the aroma. Good mix of grapefruit, floral, and pine aromas. Great caramel malt backbone on this one. Pairs well with the hop bitterness that doesn’t go overboard, but continues to let you know its there. Nice bitter finish. Well balanced and towards the hops end. Pours a medium amber with an off white head and some clinch lace as it goes down the glass. Nose isn’t overpowering in any way. Get a bit of piney and citrusy hops atop a good amount of malt. Taste is balanced overly in favor of the malt and brings a little bit of alcohol flavors. Mouthfeel ia a bit light but within the acceptable range. Drinks okay, but not something I’m clamoring to have again.

On tap at the brewery, pours with a very exciting aroma. Fruity, citrus, floral hops, bouquet of flowers, eagerly anticipating the taste. Taste is a little disappointing, but still solid. Thick, floral hops, citrus, something mellowly harsh at the start. Finishes a bit bitter, overall a very good beer. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - AUG 15, 2010
On tap at brewery, pours amber with a nice white head that laces through out the entire glass, aroma is full of hops and flavor is just as exciting, great IPA!
