A chaotic blend of Citra hops and Belgian-style yeast give this IPA aromas of passion fruit, a bright hop flavor and a plush finish.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2015 Picked up a store in Kohler, WI. Interesting IPA. Very citrusy hop aroma and flavor. Almost pepper/fruity taste in the malty yeastiness. I thought is was good but almost didnt quite work for me. Sometimes harmonious in the mouth sometimes clashing flavors. Serving: Bottle

2016-11-05. Lightly hazy dark orange body with modest off-white head and lace. 3++ Aroma is moderately alcoholic, muted citrus, light malt and Belgian character. Flavour is fairly bitter up front, moderate citrus, lingering bitterness and light alcohol. Average bodied palate, good carbonation. Decent, but a bit brash at times for a brunch beer. 7/3+/7/3/14 On tap at Little Goat Diner, Chicago.

12 oz bottle via trade from notes. Pours a hazy orange golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale toasted malts, caramel, citrus and tropical fruit, Belgian yeast, light bitterness, decent fruity Belgian IPA.

It seems like the Belgian-style IPA is becoming every brewers pet project, but Ale Asylum makes it a thing of beauty. Bedlam! pours a gold color and has a pungent, fruity nose. It starts off bright and bitter with grapefruit and passion fruit. It gradually transitions more toward spicy and bready toward the finish but the bitterness remains. Crisp, dry textures. Excellent.

Tap at Riverhouse. Light orangey amber with a decent head. /fresh piney aroma with some dank undercurrents. Flavor is a mix of hops with a hint at the Belgian.

12 ounce bottle at Sugar River Pizza Company in New Glarus, WI, served in an iced pint glass. Been a while since Ive gotten anything in an iced glass - or gotten a bottle at a restaurant, but this place has no draught beer, surprisingly enough. Anyway it pours a thick, almost opaque rust-copper with a thick lasting off-white head...lightly sweet, pungent aroma with a bit of the farm but mostly resinous hops and a touch of orange...yeasty, doughy body is reasonably balanced in the sweet-hoppy characteristics and with some noticeable Belgian funk and dryness as well...very full, moderately carbonated - perhaps it could be just a wee touch fizzier and lighter in the mouthfeel - lightly peppery on the finish. Pretty solid though by no means great; after 2 of my last 3 AA experiences being pretty negative Ive been wondering whether I should give up on them, but this was decent enough, just as I remember it from 2 or 3 years ago.

Slightly hazed light amber color. Tall, lasting canvas colored head. Im not sure if the fact that Im doing laundry has anything to do with it, but Im sure smelling animal piss (sorry, to be graphic, but I got to call it as I smell it), grapefruit zest and light caramel. Very heavy lace. Things do seem to settle down a touch and the green hops overtake the pets tinkle tract tendencies. Smooth lightly oily feel that seems a touch lifeless by the time it reaches the back of the throat. Light fruit sweetness in the front, with peaches and melon. Mild spiciness in the middle. Finish has some herbal hops and some cloves from the yeast. An interesting brew 5/10

Bottled. Very hazy two-toned yellow/orange with a massive, frothy egg-white head. Zesty citrus aroma (grapefruit flesh, orange zest) with moderate pine and a vanilla cookie end. Mellow hop flavor, still heavy with grapefruit, but with a slight peach/nectarine sweetness to the middle. Pillowy mouthfeel is fantastic. I really enjoyed.

From a can...pours a bright orange with 1 finger head; nice lacing. Fruity but hoppy nose; slight hop edge with the fruit nose make it a really good taste...will be back; this is a good one; tasty.

Can, pours a cloudy bright golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out a decent mix of dank hops and Belgian yeast. Flavour is similar, with Belgian yeast, dank hops, and earthy dryness. Not overly complex but it works decently enough. Okay.
