Pours nice dark brown with fizzy off white head. Aroma has notes chocolate, roast, and a touch of acidity. Taste is thin, but has notes of roast, chocolate, and a touch of coffee. Maybe a touch of acidity in the back end of the beer. Nice, sessionable brew. bpreo (2836) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - JAN 21, 2011
What else could you want from a Porter? Roasted Chocolate Malt. That settles it in my book. bradner (91) - Oswego, Illinois, USA - DEC 5, 2010
Poured with a tan head and some lace. Tanish brown head. Nice roasty malty nose with a little dark ripe fruit, cocoa, coffee, a hint of vanilla and chocolate. Flavor is basically the same as aroma. In spite of the richness it’s fairly drinkable. Very full flavored. arkurzynski (2427) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 27, 2010
Brown with red hues. Aroma is coffee, brown sugar. Flavor is roasted malts, toffee, mild coffee with little residual. Body is okay but a little thin. Some acidity. Pretty good. JaBier (7958) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - NOV 5, 2010

Bottle. Pours a very dark chewy brown, shiny with a fine fizzy head. Aroma is medium roasty, bit of roast acidity, lighter coffee, crunchy. Flavor follows, thinner, roast acidity, very straight forward and simple, light espresso and dark chocolate, touch of sour cream towards the finish. Medium/light bodied, light sizzling carbonation, overall watery feel. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 21, 2010

[Bottle] Pours a dark brown color with a nice looking brown head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Roasted malts, some peat, vanilla, dark chocolate and molasses. Lingering sweet cream in the finish. Creamy and full mouthfeel. Low carbonation levels. This brew was enjoyable and tasty. Ibrew2or3 (8614) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - AUG 28, 2010
One of a slew of Ale Asylum brews courtesy of sebletitje. Pours mahogany with thin tan head. The aroma is roasty, sweet milk chocolate, sugary sweetness, some pine hops, chocolate brownie and a dollop of coconut. The taste is a touch bitter to start with dark chocolate, chocolate brownie, a dash of pine hops and dark roasted malts. Nice and rich in flavor for the style. Yum.
