COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This medium-bodied ale is dark in color and deceiving on the palate. The glassy smooth finish of this beer is your first hint that dark in color doesn't always mean heavy in stomach.

dark brown, light tan head. aroma of chocolate malts, molasses, some hops and light roast. flavors, chocolate malts, roasted, light mouthfeel with hints of caramel and molasses, very similar to the aroma, the hop presence is very thin as is the overall profile.Good session beer.

Scubatrip (610) - Annandale, Virginia, USA - AUG 23, 2010
On tap at the brewery, a sweet spresso aroma fills the nose. Flavors of espresso, very smooth chocolate, creamy, not so porter-esque, but an excellent, remarkably smooth beer.

CanIHave4Beers (4184) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - MAY 4, 2010
Pours a deep brown basically black with a small head and some lace. The aroma is some coffee, a little cinnamon, some roasty malt, some candy sweetness, a mild hoppiness, and something odd I can’t quite put my finger on. The flavor is much like a delicious coffee drink with some mild sweetness, some fruitiness, a nice bitter hoppiness, with a good creamy character.

kseecs16 (1216) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - APR 30, 2010
Draught at the pub. Pours dark brown, opaque with a creamy light brown head that leaves thick lines of filmy lacing. Aroma and flavor are dark, roasty with a dark chocolate bitter-sweetness. Slightly watery but with a nice viscuosness.

Taste is big flavors of milk chocolate and coffee bitterness that fades into sweet malt- yum. Body is liter. An awesome porter. Had heavy sediment at the bottom-cool.
