Crazy aroma alternates among cherries, chocolate and musty leaves after a late October rain. Nothing distinctive on the taste, but dryness, sourness and leaves now edging toward moldiness all appear on the finish. Hard to get a consistent read on Kink, which is among its charms. From a bottle. nilloc1204 (16) - Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 6, 2014
This is a very good beer. Too bad people won't take it as seriously as they should because of the name and the label. wlajwl (7013) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - NOV 11, 2014
Aroma is complex grains/malts, fruit/dark fruit and a small hint of funk. The flavor is complex grains/malts, fruit, mild caramel and a mix of slight sour and warming alcohol in the finish.

Shared 12 oz. bottle poured to snifters, showing a clear, garnet color, with a modest layer of soft white head foam, and dots & dashes of lacing. The aroma was subtle toast, light malt sweetness, esters, light spice, and a little earthy scent. Light to medium bodied, with soft carbonation, the taste continued as the nose, with low hop bitterness, somewhat hidden alcohol expression, and light dryness. Milder than most, but a flavorful Dubbel. JonnyMadison (87) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 30, 2014
Bottle. Poured a dark orange. Very smooth and creamy, with a lot of spice. Lived up to the description on the label. More edge and spice when cold, but creamier and still good when warmer. A good showing from Ale Asylum! Dogbrick (13554) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 22, 2014
Sample at the brewpub. Clear copper color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Fruit, yeast and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of earthy yeast, malt and fruit. The finish is fruity up front with a mildly spicy yeast aftertaste. Decent overall. drpimento (3736) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 22, 2014
Poured at a good temperature with a medium size tan head, a little lace, and a clear copper amber color. Aroma is Malt and yEast. Flavor is on the dry side hops really come through. Body is good.
