Fiery in color and intent, our Belgian Abbey is creamy and smooth with a thrust of spice in the aroma and a climactic finish.

At brewery, clear-ish red ale with good amounts of lacing. Spicy, fruity aroma and taste with caramel malt sweetness and Belgian yeast. A little bitterness to it, medium body. A pretty good abbey ale. Picked up a six pack after trying it at the brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Taste on tap at the brewery. Mostly clear red orange color. Thin off-white khaki head. Leaves good rows of lace. Caramel malt, nutty flavor. Lightly spicy, some toasty belgian yeast. Medium to bigger body. More dry finish. Smooth, lighter carbonation, full body. Moderate bitter taste. Light sweet. Solid flavorful belgian ale.

poured into a snifter at the taproom. Nice head and lacing. Decent Belgian flavors that became better and the beer warmed up.

Nice spicy Belgian ale. Amber with a lot pH phenolic yeast presence. Not bad.

Tap at the brewery. Pours light brown and clear. Too cold. Nice malty flavors and some candi sugar flavoring. Lighter body. Decent attempt.

On tap at the new brewpub. I think I give this one bonus points just of the name. nothing like sitting at the bar and hearing everyone ask for a Happy Ending. Quite balanced and drinkable. Better this year than last.

GTMW. Deep red-brown. Aroma is lightly fruity with some spice and bubblegum. Faint notes of toasted malt. Flavor has a semi-sweet, spicy and fruit-like malt beginning with a dry toasted, and very mildly roasted finish. Slight alcohol towards the finish. Some mild lingering yeast ester notes.

Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Ale Asylum in Madison, WI. Appearance is a murky light brown with a thin white head. Aroma of slight spice, nothing much else. Taste is alright, kind of light, spice comes out a little, not bad.

Draft at AA. Amber-brown-red with a steady off-white/beige head. Clean and doughy, shos a little more balance than most American-Belgians. Quite fresh and full bodied, creamy almost nitro mouthfeel. Somewhere between a Belgian amber and brown. A really enjoyable beer. QUite clean and well attenuated for the style.

On tap @ Ale Asylum. Amber with a creamy head that leaves lots of lacing. Lots of sweetness in this one, caramel and toffee with some spicy yeast notes. Finishes bready with some residual sweetness. Pretty good beer, took a while to get through it though.
