Bottle... Poured a hazy orange with a thick, frothy, white head. Aroma of strong NW hops, giving a peppery, resinous spiciness to it. Malts came through more evident in the flavor creating a rich balance which was also aided by the yeast notes, creating apricot, mango, passion fruit, and other light-fruit tones. Golden body with white head, aroma of grapefruit, biscuit. Taste is citrus hops, biscuit, some caramel, with a little dry finish, good beer that meke honor to the name. CanIHave4Beers (4205) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - MAY 4, 2010
Pours a hazy golden color with a medium white head and a good lace. The aroma is nice & fruity with some mango and citrus with just a mild caramel hint. The flavor follows with some nice melon and citrus. There is some distinct bitterness in there as well, more bitterness than say your average citrusy fruity pale ale/IPA. There is a mild biscuit maltiness in there as well and not really any sweetness. This is very tasty. SrSilliGose (3331) - pouring bus, New Brunswick, CANADA - APR 28, 2010

On tap at the National Homebrew Competition. Pour was slightly hazy golden with a nice white foamy head. Aroma was of citrus, grapefruit, and a lot of hops. Flavors were well blended and quite bitter with, again, a great deal of hop flavors. Very nice brew. Nice blend and refreshing. NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 12, 2010
Draft at hotel bar in Madison, WI. Pours a copper color with nice looking offwhite head. Nose is popping with citrusy hops and a kiss of sweet malt. Fresh hop aroma. On taste, quite fresh, light crystal malt character that doesn’t really shove your nose in it. Hops dominate here without getting astringent. Pretty nice APA, actually. Poured dark copper with a thick white to off-white head and lots of lacing. The aroma was stale hops and light citrus. The flavor was malts, stale hops and citrus. Relatively thin body with more dryness than sweetness at the finish. Just OK. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAR 23, 2010
Pours orange with white head, aroma is nice full citrus and pine hops. Taste up front is some orange and grapefruit leading into some pine, a simple bready malt base and finishing clean and bitter. Nice solid IPA. phaleslu (10546) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 23, 2010
12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass at the end of my tour of the brewery. Pours a cloudy amber color with a rocky, thick off-white head that laces the glass. Nice aroma of piney hops, herbal notes, and grapefruit citrus- so simple and fresh. Those notes all show up in the flavor, along with some caramel malts and resin. Light-medium bodied, with average carbonation and a really smooth mouthfeel for the style. Good balance of bitterness and sweetness, getting sweeter later. Man, this goes down easy. Maybe I just had a super fresh bottle since I was at the brewery, but this is great.
