This is a perfect everyday kinda beer. Has a great hop flavor, mild on the alcohol, hoppy enough to be intersting but not so hoppy that you couldn’t sit down on a nice day and have a six pack (which i did). and again they did such a great job of showcasing one specific hop (Cascade). I can see why this is considered their flagship beer. wicoldbuyer (6) - Madison, USA - DEC 2, 2014 does not count
The backbone of Madison craft beer. This is complex, yet approachable for the new craft drinker. pjwalsh2 (87) - Palos Park, Illinois, USA - SEP 11, 2011
UPDATED: OCT 27, 2011 1. Look - A golden pale ale that sparkles and pours a small head good lacing. The beer looks good.
2. Sniff - The cascade hops definitely add a delightful citrus aroma.
3. Sip - A smooth light bodied pale ale with a soft bitterness and abundant citrus flavor.
4. Another Look – The beer still looks good. I want to drink another one.
5. Evaluate - Overall, I really like this beer because it is a very drinkable ale with an awesome finish. Its floral aroma and taste are well balanced with a very delicate bitterness. I would recommend this pale ale to anyone who would enjoy drinking a tasty ale full of flavor and easy to drink. It could easily be a “go-to” summer beer –at least I think.

Ale Asylum’s specialty brew. An easy to drink APA. Nice blend of hops, with a light citrus taste in addition. This beer only gets better each time I have it. brister (3) - - FEB 25, 2012 does not count
This is a delicious beer. It has the right amount of hops without going crazy.

Vary dark gold in color( almost amber)and cloudy.Strong bold hop aroma and is thick and full bodied to the palate. It has a strong hop taste followed by a mild citrus and ends with a hop flavor mixed with a little maltiness. This is an all around excellent pale ale! drpimento (3634) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 8, 2008
Wow! This is just great beer!! Poured with a nice frothy foamy head and some lace. Hazy amber color. Very hoppy aroma with some malt and caramel in there. I don’t pick up on the citrus; but, I do get a real dry chewiness. Great mouth. Satisfying with a clean pleasant finish. Superb session beer. Having a draught of this at Bodega Brew Pub downtown La Crosse, Wis. USA Lemke10 (981) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2013
Pours a semi-clear amber color with a rather thick head of off-white foam. Scent is heavy with hops, a scent of crisp apple, and bitter malts. Taste is smooth, clean, and crisp. Hops are well blended with some spice for a good taste and I’m getting a hint of apples as well. Ends with a dry after taste. Hits the taste buds well with flavor but is still light enough to be enjoyed at a cook-out etc. One of Ale Asylum’s most popular brews! Mittenator (1612) - Michigan, USA - OCT 22, 2013
Bottle. Bright gold with a tan head. Huge, sweet hop and tangerine aromas. Flavors incredibly smooth and well blended with a hint of malt and bitter in the finish. JonnyMadison (87) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 16, 2014
Light and refreshing. All the flavors of a pale ale -- hoppy, but with a bright citrus and pine taste. I dislike most pale ales because of the bitter aftertaste, but Hopalicious is not bitter at all and the aftertaste is pleasant. Excellent!
