Sampler at the brewpub shared with ck1, thanks bro! Pours brownish red. Aroma has brown sugar and nuttyness. Taste has caramel and brown sugar but in a quite weak fashion. Finishes sweet but short. Bottle thanks arkurzynski! Pours clear brown red with a quick soapy off white head that fades to a film. Aroma has a roasted malt with a little brown sugar (very faint) and slight dried fruit. Taste is oatmeal and figs with roasted malt and a subtle bitterness throughout. Palate is thin slick and finishes chalky.

On tap @ Asylum. Pour is brown with a khaki head. Aroma is toasted malt, milk chocolate, nuts, and earth. Flavor shows sweet toffee/caramel and finishes with what seems like a hint of coffee. On tap @ Ale Asylum. Deep brown with a thick beige head. Lots of toasty malt and bread dough with some nuts and light coffee. Super smooth and creamy with a nuty finish. Very good beer, lots of malt flavor and extremely drinkable. I really liked this beer.
