Pours a hazy straw yellow on tap with fluffy white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of nice banana and spicy esters from the yeast, no bubblegum sweetness though. Taste follows, a clean, to style hefeweizen, with a soft and bubbly finish. Decent. basaywhat (275) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - MAR 5, 2017
12 oz bottle. Pours a pale, cloudy, straw gold. Watery wheat malt, some spice and lemon zest. Thin banana-clove sweetness trailing to pale/wheat malt. jackl (8028) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 15, 2017
Keg @ Ale Asylum. 08/14/16. Hazy gold pour with a small head. Nose plays it pretty straightforward. Classic hefe aromas of banana and clove. Fresh baked bread. Flavor is sweet and crisp. Cracker and sugar. Banana. Lightly spicy on the finish. A bit of heat comes through. Medium body, pillowy carb. HuskerTan (2168) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - NOV 30, 2016
A- Fruity esters, wheat, lemon, lavender, soap.
A- Yellow color, cloudy liquid, white head.
T- Banana, bubble gum, clove, lemon, wheat, subtle black pepper.
P- Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, balanced finish.
O- A solid representation of the style. Too easy to drink. I don’t think I made the can last even a full 10 mins and that was with me trying to take my time to enjoy it. Maybe not my favorite hefe but I could drink this anytime, anywhere. Drake (13648) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 23, 2016

It’s becoming increasingly clear to me that having great German beer without leaving the states means going to Wisconsin. Unshadowed was something of a strange deviation in a night spent enjoying the hoppiest goodness Ale Asylum could throw at me. This beer is yellow with a fine layer of white foam. Notes of banana, clove, coriander, and bubblegum from the yeast phenols. Creamy and dry texturing. A great style representation and easy as hell to drink. deyholla (11503) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 30, 2016
Sampled from the tap at the O’so brewery. Pours a clear very light yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has light fruits and sweet grains with a good amount of Belgian yeast. Flavor has sweet grains, sweet light fruits and Belgian yeast. csaso (2266) - Missouri, USA - JUL 18, 2016
Can - average size foamy head, pale yellow color, good size spice (cinnamon/coriander/clove like) aroma and flavor, fair banana notes too, light wheat backbone, ok overall

Cloudy yellow. Lemon, some light dry apple. Some light honey. Quite sweet, a hint of bitterness. Chewy, light, mildly effervescent. Fine.

Bottle pour - cloudy straw body - medium white head that recedes quickly - light lacing. Aroma is very well done - lots of banana and clove...yeasty, bit of bubble gum - very very good. I must say, reminded a bit of the Dancing Man, which stands by itself for the style in my mind. Flavor is okay...borders on good...just doesn’t stand up to the nose. Bready and yeasty, it just doesn’t really do a whole lot. Palate is similarly a bit thin - must admit that I was a bit shocked to see the ABV - doesn’t come through in any way. Good overall drink that I’d have again...maybe I can just smell a friend’s!
