Dueling Pipers is a boozy, malty affair with prominent but not entirely overpowering barrel contribution. There is a lingering bitterness that may come from aged hops, barrel tannins, or rye.

12oz bottle courtesy of joeneugs, thanks man! It pours a sort of murky mahogany body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma dishes up molasses, raisins, prunes, sticky pine infused malts and a bit of booze near the end of the draw. The taste is a rich mix of spicy rye bread and resiny pine hops as well as some molasses and then a bit of prunes and raisins. This is rich and good and pleasing from front to back and seems very barleywine like. Nice, boozy, resiny sipper, yum. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JAN 27, 2013
