Pours a nice golden color with a dense, lasting white head. The aroma jumps out as tropical with some citrus and grass. They used Columbus hops for bittering and a blend of Cascade and Citra for flavor/aroma which is a nice combination. Lots of floral and tropical fruit in the finish. The flavor is well balanced with some light maltiness. This one drinks easy as it’s not heavily bitter but very flavorful. Nice one. KUEric (978) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - NOV 16, 2015
I’d have rated this higher all around, but it seemed tight -in the way a wine needs to breathe sometimes. Like its young and going to develop a little more as it ages --which maybe it does?
Darker than you average IPA, with slightly less head. Aroma is tight pine and resin a little bit less of citrus and hibiscus. Flavor is similar in profile to the aroma, plus a little lemon, a little sour and some malt backbone behind it. DavidWoodruff (631) - Windsor, California, USA - APR 8, 2017
Copper with a light tan head. Aroma of citrus and pine. Some very nice caramel flavors mix in with the bright hop bitterness. Well balanced for style. Medium to full bodied with a lingering hop-bitter finish. Well made - showing off both hops and malt nicely. BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - SEP 10, 2011

On tap at Monks Kettle. Pours cloudy blonde with a decent off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor with massive hop bitterness. It works pretty well if you are a hophead. beerguy101 (5364) - Newark, California, USA - JUL 18, 2012
Tasted from the firkin at the Triple Rock Firkin Fest April 7, 2012. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the firkin. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and citrusy. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and herbal. Mild carbonation. Touch of lingering bitterness. Good balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
