On draft at the brewery. It pours a nice dark red/brown with a small khaki head. The aroma is chocolate with strong roasted malt (I was told that there’s no chocolate malt in here, but you could’ve fooled me) Lots of dry toast and oak as well. Very nice. The flavor is dry, oaky and roasted with a little baker’s chocolate bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied. Very good. I can’t wait for the next generations of this beer. Love the concept! badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - SEP 14, 2012
On tap. Dark ruby brown with a creamy off white head. Nut meal and roasted grain aroma. Tastes of hazelnut roasted grain and caramel. Good creamy palate. Quite good.
