On tap at Apex, pours an opaque dark amber brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of light spicings, a little dry roast and toasted malt. Flavour is actually quite complex, bringing slight spiciness, some cocoa, toasted malt and a little cinnamon. Wonderful mesh of flavours, finishing slightly spicy and dry. Excellent stuff! joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - JUN 6, 2013
On draft at Beer Revolution. It pours a black color with an off white head. The aroma has nice roasted and toasty malts with coffee, cocoa and a hint of wood. The wood character seems to be fading with each successive generation of this series. A little bit of floral hops. The flavor has caramel and coffee with chocolate coming in late and strong roast in the finish. Oily on the palate. Very nice. Probably my favorite of the bunch so far. mrhoppy (1196) - Santa Clara, California, USA - MAY 26, 2013
