COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship beer “Orange Kush” is being moved in a different direction. As our little brewery grows, so does our reach. With our beer now available from Oregon down to San Diego and over to Arizona, having the word “Kush” censored on our label, just isn’t doing it for us anymore. Like the game of telephone, with more and more distance between us and our customers, the story behind the beer loses its meaning. Beginning this December you will start seeing a new label out on the market, we are now calling “Orange Kush” - Golden State of Mind. We are very excited to show off our Golden State of California with this new label, and have begun to use, as much as possible, California grown ingredients.
Golden State of Mind is a California Native Ale brewed with loaclly grown Barley, Oats, and Wheat. Local and Organic chamomile, orange peel, and coriander and added to the finish, which gives this beer an amazingly simple refreshment.

Slightly hazy straw yellow in color... Aroma of light malts, bread... Flavor is crisp, bready, light citrus and grains... Coriander and wit mouthfeel... Solid ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasty beer. Low alcohol. Like a spicy cream ale. Nelson hops. Refreshing. White pepper. Interesting.

So this is one of those beers that doesn’t really fit into the category it is classified as. But who cares about that, how does it taste?!?! Pretty damned good and refreshing is my answer. I applaud any beer that uses oats, but I also think the chamomile adds another element that when tasting, you don’t think Belgian Wit style, but you think...aaahhhh!!! Refreshing!

ABUSEDGOAT (2820) - California, USA - AUG 17, 2013
Hazy golden, decent lacing and retention. Aroma is coriander, spicy hop, orange, hint of oat. Medium to light body, quite drinkable, but a flavor profile I don’t like. Unique take on a Wit however.

ericdevin (988) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - JUL 24, 2013
Bottle from 16 Tons Taphouse, Eugene. Pours a medium golden orange, slightly cloudy, little to no head. Aroma floral, yeasty, chamomile and a bit of citrus. Lovely. Body a little bit dull, almost like some gruits. I generally like things of this style to be a bit more lively, but there is some points to be given for effort.

I picked up on the citrus quickly. Very light and slightly hazy. Refreshing with the orange coming through but not so much coriander. Decent head with minimal lacing.

Bottle... Poured hazy golden yellow with a moderate head. Nice flavor and aroma here. Quenching. Citrus and spices met wheat and yeast esters. Some tea-like o chai tea-like spices too that offered complexity. Interesting beer for what it is.

brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - JUN 16, 2013
Pale golden pour with a white head. Orange, apricot, wheat, and lots of honey. Has some coriander note, but a lot of chamomile, very floral. Coconut, bread, and biscuit malt notes, too. The flavor is sweet up front with huge honey and coconut flavors. Bread, biscuit, orange, and apricot. Chamomile and coriander, a touch of pepper, and light citrus. A bit grassy and bitter on the finish, however.

A bit soapy, but otherwise very flavourful low ABV beer. Spices, oranges, wheat. Light and summer ready.

Oscbert (1319) - Lincoln, California, USA - MAY 6, 2013
~Pleasing aroma of orange peel, bread and healthy dose of chamomile and coriander. Very Refreshing. ~Pours a cloudy gold yellow color with small lasting head. ~Strong chamomile flavor with bread and corriander, subtle orange peel. ~Light fluffy body with medium high CO2, chamomile bready finish. ~Love this beer. Had it on tap and and from the bottle. Draft is better. Could drink these anytime anywhere all day long.
