Undated bottle drunk 11/22/16.hayduke (5209) - Eureka, California, USA - NOV 22, 2016
There’s a pinkish tinge to it, but it’s still mostly a copper-gold. Pink-tinged beige head immediately fizzles out. High clarity.
The nose is full of strong acetic acid. Not to the point of acetone, thankfully, but it’s definitely dominant. Even the brightness of the raspberry is overshadowed by it. Light oakiness and soft honey and caramel malts behind do enough to "balance" it, but it’s just a bit too much on the acetic character.
In the mouth it’s even more given to it. Very, very strong vinegar-like qualities, with enamel stripping sourness as a result and lots of sharpness. The oak does soften it, somewhat, but it’s a losing battle. Raspberries lie behind it and add tartness and juiciness. Carbonation is very low, slightly loose at times.
Pours light raspberry color with a pink tinged head. Nose of raspberry and light funk. Medium body. Flavor is tart and mostly raspberry. Finishes with a nice tartness. Very easy drinking, very tasty, and very nice. I really like this one. tomer (3519) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - MAR 14, 2016
At a tasting, thanks, smallish head, a bit hazy deep orange color, aroma of acetone and green unripe fruit, Intense fruity acidity with some saltiness with some acetone that is getting stronger, very difficult to drink, unpleasant sensation remains for quite a while in your throat. Strange and not too good. DSG (14784) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAR 11, 2016
Bottle shared at a tasting at Max’s place. Hazy orange color, slightly pinkish. Aroma of acetone, vinegar, a bit of berries. Extremely acidic and acetic flavor, with acetone, vinegar, berries - hurts when you swallow. Every sip is literally painful. Completely undrinkable, feels like something that could really make you ill. 1.3 is kinda generous actually. I want my $10 back! brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 30, 2016
On tap @ The Good Hop. Sort of a pinkish, orange colored beer with soapy white foam. Lots of strawberry and raspberry aroma. A bunch of cotton candy, too. Big time lemon juice. Sort of acetic...very sour. There’s a little bit of some sweet jammy fruit note, grape, and big time berry. Becomes a bit more acetic as it comes to room temperature. It’s got some nice qualities to it, but overall a little too much on the intense, face melting sourness side of things.
