Bottle shared at the Chris & Ruth pre GBBF shindig tasting 2016 - London. Cheers! Pours clear amber with a frothy white head. The nose holds toasted grains, earth, minerals. Light to medium sweet flavour with hints of brett, dried berries, further grains, dried bread. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish, with further impressions of brett, some further toasted grains, oily pine. Novel gear. Lightly hazed amber with a moderate off white covering.
Nose is citric sherbets, candied orange peel, hop dusting, light pine.
Taste comprises sticky fruit pudding, light spice, toasted grains, orange peel, candied fruit peels, sweetish base.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light hop spattering.

Bottle shared at the pre GBBF chriso’s tasting day 2 07/08/2016. Bottle picked up in whole foods San Jose. Reddy copper coloured pour with a a loose beige head. Aroma is spicy Rye, pine, hop, little medicinal, nutty toffee. On tap at Evernote in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is light cardboard, roasted malts, pretzels, stale crackers. Taste is smooth, albeit a little bland. Not getting much of the hops. Some mild raisin-like fruitiness.

August 2016 - Bottle share at Chriso’s Sunday Shindig. Thanks! As ’Ale Industries Ryed Piper’. Brown with an orange hue, foamy tan head. Aroma is rye, pine, jammy fruits. Body is light, tingly carbonation, smooth. Taste is rye bread, cardboard malts, blackcurrant, tangy fruits, light sherbet and some booze showing up. Very good, I think. Pre-gbbf-shinding. Klare dunkel orange braune Farbe, geringe beige schaumkrone. Geruch sehr würzig, dunkles malz, rote Früchte, leicht säuerlich holzig. Geschmack nach reifen roten Früchten, Roggen karamellig, bitter hopfig, nussig.
