On tap at Beer Rev. It pours a dark brown/black color with a tan head. The aroma is heavy with dark chocolate and bourbon vanilla. The flavor is full and rich with sweet cocoa, vanilla and bourbon. Massively thick, oily body with intense vanilla. Lots of chocolate on a heavy back end. A worthy barrel aged impy stout. bhensonb (15096) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 18, 2014

A - Pours a dark brown-black color with a finger of frothy khaki-chocolate colored head. The head fades down fairly slowly leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of roasted chocolate malts, roasted coffee, bourbon, vanilla, oak, a bit of dark fruit and black licorice, and a bit of booze.
T - Starts off with a mix of roasted chocolate malts with some dark fruits, vanilla, and black licorice. Through the middle, the oak and Bourbon come through with roasted coffee flavors and a bit of dark chocolate. The finish is a mix of roasted chocolate malts and coffee with vanilla, Bourbon, oak, a touch of dark fruits, and a hint of booze.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a sweet, roasted, and warming finish.
D - Very drinkable. Excellent balance with the barrel aging and the coffee really adding some great complexity.

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small tan head that settles to a ring and leaves some light lacing. The aroma reveals a definite infection. Cherry, brett, light roast, light coffee, light roastiness, and bit of bourbon. The taste is slight tart cherry, light roast, brett, earthiness, and a hint of coffee. The finish is slightly tart with some brett. Medium-light body. Low carbonation. While this was definitely infected and by no means a good beer, it was at least drinkable. nimbleprop (8297) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - APR 2, 2012
22oz bottle pours a watery, opaque black with one ring of white head. Smells pretty rough, sauerkraut, garbage, feet, plastic. Flavor is a little better, chocolate, rootbeer, mushrooms, dirt. Medium bodied, sweet finish. Just hold your nose before you drinks. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAR 11, 2012

651mL from Healthy Spirits in SF. Pours a deep maroon with a larger beige head. Smaller lace. Nose is huge DMS- tomatoes, celery, V8, cabbage, sauerkraut, picked red cabbage. Oh gross. Taste is thinner, watery, some margarine, and then picked cabbage again. Mild booze and spicy chocolate.
