Simcoe version at SRAF 2012. Pours golden, some pine on the nose, taste was a bit like varnish - will try this again. McNeillR (2313) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 6, 2014
Clear puffed yellow body, no discernable head. Bubble wrapped hop nose, lightly creamied lemons. Initial taste is squeaky Milk of Magnesia which thankfully fades fast. Sharp citrus malt. Plasticy taste continue to the finish that dampens some sweet hoppt threads.

Cask, SRAF 2012, Simcoe version
UPDATED: NOV 13, 2012 From cask at Cloisters. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is bitter, citrusy and crisp hoppy. Dry, bitter and citrisy. Easy to drink. Dry and bitter finish. dantheman278 (1361) - SCOTLAND - SEP 26, 2012
Citra version at Cloisters. Slight yellowy orange, tight creamy white head. Slight elderflower, white grape juice, lemon zest, freshly baked biscuit malts on the nose. Zesty lemon sherbet, crisp grapefruit hints, soft grapefruit, touch of odd vanilla malt flavour but with a nice soft resinous bitterness on the finish. Light spritzy carbonation. Good. Cask at Cloisters. Gold with a solid white head. Bitter orange aroma and flavour with hint a sweet pineapple. Nice clean finish and a well restrained bitterness.

Cask at Red Squirrel. Galaxy Edition. Aroma of summer fruits and citrus. Flavour has malt sweetness but is damned by an odd rubbery element. Some good elements but a flawed beer. stravale (3055) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - AUG 4, 2012
Cask @ Red Squirrel 280712 (Galaxy version)

Amber, slight haze, thin white head, some lacing
Aroma - light sweet fruity malts, some old pale fruits, slight grape, apricot, some musty hops
Taste - Sweet pale malts, some citrus hops, apricot, bit of zest, odd plastic note - it isn’t right
Palate - Finish - this is odd - a sort of vanilla custard powder / cakemix comes through in the finish with soft bitter background and hint of peppery hop. Has a good interesting finish
Overall - Could be really good - it needs tweaking or perhaps the Galaxy doesn’t work here.

I definitely got apricot from the aroma, and then there are complex floral layers. But a metallic finish lingered unhappily on my palate. Yellow, simple, Starts great, lets down a bit. (cask at Scottish Real Ale Festival, Edinburgh, June 2012) Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 29, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 1, 2012 On cask at the Scottish Real Ale Festival, 2012. Pours a light golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma of pine, pineapple, peppermint, yeast and alcohol. Similar flavours with peppermint quite prominent again. Moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. I prefer the regular version myself. Also had the Citra dry hopped version at Cloisters. Galaxy dry hopped version at Cloisters. This is lovely. Lots of citrusy elderflower and lemon coming through. Nicely bitter. My favourite so far...
