bottle from oddbins (bbe feb 2015). pours deep amber, puffy head. aroma is malt, rye, chocolate, a little whisky. taste is nicely bittersweet. medium body, slightly oily, lively but not too fizzy. bitterness lingers at the end. I approve of this ryePA trend.

[email protected] First glass was gluey old rubbery, but apparently the glass, as the second one was fine. Orange hazy. Malty, autumny leafy, piney bit huksey malty nose. Med bodied, bitter, kinda dryish. Flavourful, raw, unrefined feeling. Feels really raw, punky harsh. Ok.

Cask @ The Lade Inn, Kilmahog. Pours deep amber, off-white head. Taste is leafy, some marmalade, herbal.. some off-flavours.. perhaps not in the best condition. Couldn’t make it past a few sips. Shame.

Taboada (1347) - Compostela (Galiza), - AUG 17, 2016
Cask tasted at Bow Bar, EDinburgh on the 10/08/2016. Dark copper colour with a medium two fingers white head. Aroma of hops, apples and caramel. Taste is herbal and caramel with some hops on the background. Next one please!

Big beige head doesn’t last. Clear deep amber body. Wooden toast and caramel aroma. Dryish dusty wooden caramelly taste with toast notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, slightly flat mouthfeel. Dryish fruity caramelly aftertaste with dusty wooden notes. Nice, drinkable, full of flavour. (0.5l bottle, from odd bins, Edinburgh.)

Heidbummer (650) - SCOTLAND - MAR 20, 2016
Pours ruby. Hints of toast and caramel on the nose. Good balance of malt, bitterness and even dark tart fruit on the taste. Drinks well to the bottom of the pint. Liking.

500ml bottle. Sweet aroma, nicely balanced on the palate by herbal/medicinal hops, slightly piny. Strong sweet, medium bitter. A very pleasant red ale.

On Cask at the Old Chain Pier, Newhaven. Pours darkish brown with a nice creamy head. Caramel malt aroma. Ample bitterness. Some hop and earthy flavours. Not bad

Idiosynkrasie (7533) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 18, 2015
500ml bottle. Clear, copper-ish, dark amber colour with average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Nuttily, malty aroma, a touch of caramel and shortbread. Taste is dry, nuttily malty, some caramel, a touch of toffee, slightly citrusy hoppy overtones with hints of orange and orange zest; bitter hoppy finish. Nice.
