On tap at ALEhouse (Riga). Pours an opaque black body with a thin off-white creamy head. Rich malty/hoppy aroma with chocolate and light roasty hints. Its very well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries woody and roasted coffee notes. Ends with a good bitter/roasty finish. Well done. visionthing (5494) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 25, 2013
On tap at Alehouse, Riga. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a beige head. Malty and fruity with roasty notes, hops and hints of berries and wood. Moderate sweet and mild roasty with a light sourness and a balanced bitterness. Tasty and easy drinkable. Nice one! oops (211) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 4, 2013
Once again. Really different when drinking from tap or from bottle. Rating goes for tap as it was better from tap compared to the bottle. Dark beer with nice brown head. Chocolate and maybe some hints of plums in aroma. Chocolate in the taste. Easy to drink. Good beer. Koelschtrinker (21171) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 30, 2013
Sehr starke Karbonisierung. Dann angenehm und weich dunkel malzig, fast schokoladig, was aber durch die hohe Karbonisierung überdeckt. Röstiger, gleichzeitig spritzig, ab dem hinteren Mittelteil etwas hopfig. Gut. 13/10/8/11/9/11 Marduk (8206) - Reval, ESTONIA - MAY 29, 2013
Tap. Pitch black color. Small off-white/brown head, stays. Chocolate, plums, raisins in aroma. Mellow aroma. Faint smokiness, roasted malts, slightly sour and bit watery flavor. Lack of depth. Faint roasted malts in aftertaste.

black, brown head. A huge, very huge brown head. It took over ten minutes before I could finally take my first sip! So, highly carbonated. High, but still rather soft and really quite nice. It’s a very drinkable stout with mild roosted malts, hints of coffee and dark chocolate and some hop bitterness. Good brew. THVB (25) - NETHERLANDS - APR 16, 2013
Bottle at home (april 13, 2013) Black with a tan coloured massive head that stays forever. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and a dark cherry. Taste of bitter coffee, milky chocolate , dark red fruits, a resin, licorice and burned caramel. Quite nice hoppy as wel, especially in the aftertaste. Also an unpleasant metallic note. Unfortunaly too much carbonation. Rune (13353) - Tromsø, NORWAY - APR 5, 2013
Many thanks to Elisabeth & Stefan for sharing a 330ml bottle bought at the brewhouse in Riga. Huge, very huge, and dense, rocky, beige head leaving spotty lacework on the glassware. Promising smell of coffee and grainy malts. Taste of dark chocolate, ash and dark fruits. Bittering malty ending. Rather intense foamy mouthfeel. Quite nice (Tromsø, 04.04.2013). Almost black with rich light brown cap. Rich coffee notes in good rich stout taste. (I’m not a stout lover, so otherwise probably i’l give one star more) dutchbeerpages (2439) - Wilnis, NETHERLANDS - MAR 3, 2013
Really nice black stout. Beautiful big uneven head on black beer. Sour notes and also coffee. The head, though the result of too much carb, is a thing of beauty. Bought at a store in Alkmaar.
