COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Horny Devil is our interpretation of a Belgian-style Golden Ale. Brewed with authentic Belgian ingredients including candi sugar and a Trappist yeast strain, its fruity and spicy aromas include notes of orange, banana, and peppercorns. Coriander seeds add refreshing citrus notes which meld seamlessly with the beer’s delicate malt. Horny Devil finishes with a lively carbonation and a refreshingly dry finish.

Pours a hazy medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty, hoppy, yeasty. Flavor is moderately sweet, highly alcoholic, citrus.

750 ml bottle. Aroma is bready, grainy, SweeTarts, lemon, chalk, floral. Pours nearly clear golden with a long-sustaining off-white head with great retention. Taste is sweet and boozy, lightly tart. I was hoping this wasn’t going to be boozy, but I was kind of expecting it.

Hazy yellow-gold in color. Aroma is earthen, coriander, ripened banana. It has a nice, full, almost creamy appeal on the tongue. Pretty sweet, more bananas and coriander. Not bad but I wanted a bit more of a hook.

Bought at the AleSmith brewery. Pours straw with a white, clean, tight head. Nose of esters, tropical fruits, maybe some bret (?). Same aromas, fruity, coriander, yeast, ripe banana and citrus.

pours unclear bright golden with a frothy white head, reviving and leaving some lacing. loads of coriander, sweet spicy honey, sweet brioché bread, fragrant alcohol, very fruity yeast - with some nice phenolic esters. bright carbonation, medium body - very oily; warming, sweet and spicy finish. coriander overload with a pale doughy fruity trappist-like body.

750 ml bottled 14 months ago, on sale at Supermarket Liquors for $6.99. Clear golden appearance with a small white head, mostly dissipating. The aroma is spicy, yeasty and grainy with notes of fruity esters, toasted malt and black pepper. Similar flavor, adding hints of banana, citrus zest and herbal hops. Medium to full body. This has held up pretty well.
