Bottle 750ml (PBF IX)lusikka (7833) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 27, 2014
Black opaque collor, small white head. Quite alcoholic aroma. Coffee and roasted maltyness. Medium-bodied. Lots of coffee, alcohol and roastyness. It is a good beer, very coffeish but not as good as basic version.
750 ml bottle @ PBF IX. Thanks tiong. Pours a pitch black colour with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate muffin, some baking powder and biscuit. Rich flavour of roasted malts, espresso, earthiness, some pepper, biscuit, dark chocolate and some wooden notes. Full bodied and a dry, roasty, espresso finish. Coffee makes this way too dry. Alcohol comes through. Normal Speedway Stout is better. olio (10547) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 27, 2014
75 cl bottle (12.0% abv) @ PBF IX. Thanks tiong!tiong (7620) - Espoo, FINLAND - JUN 27, 2014
Pours black color with a small beige head. Lots of coffee here, espresso, some caramel notes and roasted malts, licorice, some hops also and faint vanilla notes. Roasted malts, chocolate, espresso, vanilla, faint licorice and wooden notes on the finish. Very smooth palate, complex flavor-wise, very pleasant, alcohol also well hidden at first but starts to burn a bit at the end. Excellent but not as mind-blowing as I expected.
750ml bottle from a trade, thanks CheapBeerBuzz! @ PBF IX

Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of coffee, roastiness, some hoppiness, espresso, minor fruitness and hoppiness. Taste is roasty and chocolatey with loads of coffee, espresso, some hints of dark ripe fruitness and cherry. Finish is roasty, bitter and very dry with some espresso and dark chocolate notes. Quite a coffee overload, not as perfectly balanced as the regular version.
75 cl bottle (12%) @ PBF Ⅸ Huge thanks to mr. tiong!jcnielsen (3416) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUN 25, 2014
Aroma has mocha coffee, some tobacco, dark chocolate, ash and vegetables typical to coffee beers. Flavour has mocha, some dark and bitter chocolate and vegetables typical to mocha beers. Alcohol is well hidden and this is even a bit thin for this ABV. Alcohol notes get stronger towards the end of the glass. Rather good, but I must say that I expected more.
Sampled at Grand Tasting during RBSG. Pours a black color with off white head. Coffee, roasty, burnt flavors. Fuck yeah. RobertDale (6848) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - JUN 23, 2014

Bottle courtesy of DCshiller. Dark pour with an insane 3 finger head that lingers forever. Aroma of roast, vanilla, coffee beans, and tobacco. The taste is smooth coffee, cocoa powder, and dark roasted grains framed in vanilla. Countbeer (6599) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - APR 19, 2014
