Kopi Luwak Speedway Stout is our award winning year round Speedway Stout with Kopi Luwak Coffee. Considered on of the world’s most expensive and rare coffee varieties, the beans are specifically selected for their ripeness and quality by the civet, a small jungle marsupial that feeds of the fruit of the coffee cherry. Expertly roasted by San Diego’s Ryan Bros. Cofee leads to an extremely aromatic and excetionally smooth final product that complements Speedway Stout exceptionally well! Good to the last Dropping!

Bottle @ Van Moll tasting shared by Countbeer. Many thanks Kamiel! Opaque pitch black color, medium to full sized light brown head that lasts for a long time. Aroma and taste are malts, roastyness, coffee, bitter, some hops, lightly spicy, a hint of pepper. Full body, medium carbonation. Nice!

Bottle from trade. No bottle date. Big thanks to Richard for this one. Pours pitch black like Speedway should, with a big brown creamy head. Aroma of chocolate and earthy espresso, no super acidic coffee smell, roast. Flavor is some earthy coffee, a bit of metallic flavors, roast, light chocolate. What I do like about this variant is the nutty coffee aftertaste left on the palate. Seems slightly thinner than other Speedway variants, medium carbonation. I am very much not impressed with this. Lacking in flavor and body, a little metallic. Disappointing. Glad to have tried it, of course.

Boutip (6562) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 17, 2014
Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of deep roasted barley malt with notes of dry coffee also dominating. Taste is a mix between some deep dry roasted malt notes with bitter and dry coffee notes which almost veers into astringency territory. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Good but almost too extreme on the coffee side which diminish the drinkability.

Poured dark black with aromas of coffee, earth, coffee, chocolate, and more coffee. Flavors were the same heavy on the coffee, tasted like fresh coffee with some light chocolate and earth nice thickness as well. Thanks Hunter for sharing the fresh growler with me.

Bottle at California 10k shared by dodgrblu. Aroma is coffee, but seems a rather high class coffee. Med body or better. Flavor is extremely tasty coffee and a little chocolate. Finishes light/slightly treacle/malty. Delicious.
