Draught at Alesmith. Light brown color, white head. Bitter taste with ripe fruits, nuts, malts, earthy notes, toffee, bread and a bit of yeast. Draft from the source - Pours a dark amber, smallish head. Spice-clove heavy on the nose, potpourri. Cinnamon and caramel on the tongue, lots of Christmas here. Strange bitterness in the finish. Just okay for me.

On tap at AleSmith, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out a mix of holiday spices (nutmeg especially), dry red fruits and light alcohol. Flavour is bold, with lots of red fruits, holiday spices, toasted caramel and medium spices. What an awesome blend of flavours. Everything works harmoniously and the depth is impeccable. TGG, Seattle. Very thin, stringy lace. Very dark ruby amber, with clear edges. Light sweet and herb-spice aroma. Full body, creamy alcohol rich malt base with fantastic sweet notes of fig, raisin, rum balls and dark cherries. Fantastic, subtle depths of holiday time flavors. Leathery body is hung with holiday spices and fruits. Hides alcohol pretty well, but the warming character sneaks up on you. Touches of boozy butterscotch, or a dark and boozy cocktail.
