AleSmith Nut Brown is a tribute to one of our favorite British styles. Deep mahogany in color, its rich, malt-forward flavor profile balances notes of biscuit, mild cocoa and earthy hops. A creamy mouthfeel and full body enhances its drinkability, making Nut Brown an extremely sessionable ale that embodies our commitment to quality.

Appearance is very dark brown, a slight ruby tinge, a small foamy beige head. Aroma- lots of nuts, dark fruit, raisin, hunts of vanilla, milk chocolate, toffee, caramel biscuit, malt. Taste- nutty, slightly roasty malt, hints of sweet dark fruit, raisin, chocolate and biscuity malt, bitter hops in the background.

The aroma is full of dark malt, cocoa, biscuits, nuts and roasted coffee. The color is mahogny/brownish with red notes. The taste is full of malt, cocoa, biscuits, nuts, roasted coffee, toasted bread and cappuccino. A nice beer!

(6 fl. oz. bottle) Pours a clear, dark brown beer, with a strong ruby hue. Fine carbonation, and a thin off-white head. The aroma confirms that this is a quintessential nut brown ale. Really malty, with roasted nuts, caramel, chocolate, soda, plum, and raspberry. The mouthfeel is very good - smooth, light, and silky. For a beautiful example of a nut brown ale, look no further - this is it.

bottle, brewdog online iirc. brown clear. malty nose, bit dry malty, and yes, nutty, luckily not overly though. light chocolate. med bodied, quite clean, lean, malty brown ale. clean flavours, easy, not too sweet, just nice. overall just a nice brown ale that doesn't try to be overly pleasing.

Large bottle shared with my son. A dark brown beer with moderate tan head and faint nutty nose. Sweet and pleasantly nutty. Low bitterness. Mouth feel is thin. Not my favorite style, but one of the better brown ales I've had. 3.6

Bomber, 2017 edition. Cocoa aroma with notes of caramel, biscuit, earthy hops and some nutty characteristics. Pours dark caramel brown colored with a thin light brown head that has some retention and lacing. Starts with cocoa, caramel and some biscuity malt flavors. Finishes smooth with earthy hoppiness and nutty flavors that linger nicely on the palate. Really nice brown.
