AleSmith Nut Brown is a tribute to one of our favorite British styles. Deep mahogany in color, its rich, malt-forward flavor profile balances notes of biscuit, mild cocoa and earthy hops. A creamy mouthfeel and full body enhances its drinkability, making Nut Brown an extremely sessionable ale that embodies our commitment to quality.

Bomber. Deep mahogany/brown colored beer. Not an especially big beer (or sexy style), it has a rich malt body and just a bit of hops. Lots of chocolate malt makes it a bit roasty and dry. A bit too much so for my taste, but it’s still nice.

From Miguel. In Teku glass. After dinner. Excellent nose, nutty all along, but pretty worse in mouth: less nuts, slight acidity, too much neutralish bitterness and bothering carbonated feel. Low on foam

Gerbeer (3795) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 17, 2017
650 ml bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with moderate head. Aromas of nuts, biscuity malts, light powdery cocoa, and metal. Flavors follow same, more on acidic nuts and copper. Never been a fan of the style.

This is about as close to an English-style Brown as you can get without making a trip across the pond. Dark brown color; it takes on a reddish glow in direct light. Malty nose. Cocoa and hazelnut flavors followed by mild earthy, tea-like hops. Rich feel and low bitterness. Does AleSmith make any style of beer that isn’t worth drinking? Guess not.
