Pours amber, clear, minimal head. Fruits, alcohol, hops, raisins, more alcohol, malts, caramel. Sweet, but than massive bitterness. Full body, extremely oily. pintbypint (3575) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 20, 2017
750ml brown bottle. Colour is deep golden/amber, the beige head is thick and full, very sticky and clingy in the glass. Nose has toffee malt sweetness, brown sugar, rich malts, orange. Taste - toffee malts, dark sugar, sponge candy, late hop notes. Late bitterness, lasting malt richness and hop bitterness. The body is full, good carbonation for a heavy beer. Alcohol is well integrated. Hell of a nice beer. beer_queue (140) - California, USA - FEB 6, 2017
Super sweet aroma with a bit of hops. Flavors provide a combo of fruits, caramel, & citrus hops with a big boozy finish. Iíve also had this at a year old, and I think thatís where itís really at its best; hops recede to allow more of the roasted malts to come thru. Boozy fresh and even boozier as it ages. Exemplary American barleywine. ogonczyk (139) - Ruda Slaska, POLAND - JAN 17, 2017
Sweet aroma of ripe exotic fruits with some resin notes on the decent caramel background. Full bodied but not very sweet, slightly warming, soft carbonation with silky finish. Hops and malts symphony! Listigovers (1161) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 14, 2017
Brown and slight orange tinge with a very dense thin tan head. Smell is incredible, lots of resinous hop oiils and dark fruitiness, cigar, a deep caramel roast malt. Flavour is huge, tons of caramel malt sweetness, packed with hop oiliness, end of having a slight bitter aftertaste. Hops are very earthy and rich, very full bodied and warming. Incredibly decadent, wonderful beer!

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2016 Home. Hazy dark amber with white head. Big sweet roasted barley and light caramel. Dry and bitter medicinal and bandaids, rubberbands. Somewhere hoppy. Medium sweet, quite bitter for the style. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Itís like Wolfenstein 2D. Update the next day: my skull is numb af. Maakun (5367) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - DEC 30, 2016
Bottle shared thanks to Mrk. Clear dark amber with quite big beige head. Caramel, strong grass and lime peel, burning alcohol, toffee, raisins, some red wine, light wood and bitter herbs. Medium sweet and strong herbal and alcoholic. Full bodied. Very bitter and alcoholic. Faathoven (104) - Barcellona P.G., ITALY - DEC 29, 2016
Pours ruby with deep amber shades and a frothy beige/khaki head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, hops (somehow earthy), pine needles, honey, some dark fruits like raisins and dried plums. The flavour is awesome: tons of caramel malts up front, brown sugar, honey, dark fruits and in the end the hops come and clean the mouth leaving it dry and bitter. Superbly balanced. Medium to full body, almost oily texture. The best barley wine so far, together with Mikkellerís Big Worse. fackbesokare (100) - - DEC 26, 2016

13ish years old bottle. Hazy brown, low head. Somewhat oxidized, but still nice enough notes - Prune malty, chocolate, roast, a hint estery play. Full thick on the palate, light minerally on the tongue.
