Benzai (17000) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - FEB 22, 2018
Bottle [from trade] @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized brown to dark brown colored head. Aroma is malts, dark and roasted malts, heavy espresso and coffee. Taste malts, coffee, roasted malts, espresso, malt and coffee espresso bitter. Lovely. Do understand where people get the acetone notes, but I get them only slightly and think it's mostly the heavy espresso. I like it. Lovely. DutchDrebus (6377) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - FEB 22, 2018
Bottle @ benzai, celebration his 17.00th rating. Black colour with a medium sized light brown head. Smells very roasty, coffee, some walnut, slight acetone smell if I inhale deeply. Tastes amazing chocolate, roasty, coffee, sweet. Amazing taste. Smells is a bit harsh. Full body, soft carbo. Nice. DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 8, 2018
3/23/2016 -- from backlog notes: 2016 draft. Good lace. Bigger coffee than probably any other speedway I've tried, which I love. Touch of dark choc. Bigger, chewy body. Bigger bitterness. Light bite on the finish. Awesome overall. ZacM612 (877) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - DEC 23, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2017 Aged bottle shared by BelgianBeerGal. Opaque oily-looking brown with a beige head. Chocolate with a dark coffee finish and a little warmth from the inside out. Nice. BelgianBeerGal (4289) - Panama City, Florida, USA - DEC 23, 2017
2016 bottle picked up from the brewery that has aged in the laundry room cabinet for a year. Really pretty nice. Heavy malt sweetness with light booziness. I really don't get a ton of coffee, a little as it warms, but its still pleasant.

On tap. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of rich ground coffee, nutty chocolate, vanilla, and roasted malts. Rich flavours of coffee, bitter dark chocolate, chicory, sweet vanilla and creamy smooth roasted malts. Great stuff. PotjeBier (3914) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - NOV 7, 2017
Draft @ Beer Temple. Pitch black color. Hardly any head. Aroma's: alcohol, coffee, roast. Retronasal too: alcohol, light acetone, coffee. Flavor is moderate sweet, moderate bitter, roasted, alcohol. Strong alcohol feel. Full bodied. Long finish, roasty, moderate bitter. I usually like my Speedway varieties, but this was way too alcoholic. Maybe there was something wrong with this keg? __Rb81 (791) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 5, 2017

very roasty, coffee, dried fruits, vanilla, whyskey, alcoholic, wood, chocolate
medium sweetness, medium bitterness - roasty bitterness, very well balanced, and alcohol is rather well hidden. full body, jinroh (2585) - ESTONIA - SEP 16, 2017
Pours pitch black with some beige foam. Nice toasty cocoa nose, espresso coffee infusion, light roast character. Creamy and green. Tastes quite nice toasted dry chocolate coffee bitterness. Cold brewed espresso, coffee is hiding most of the alcohol there. Coffee bitter, sturdy, well balanced on the heavy side. Good stuff, thanks Tim! Smooth body, just drinkable.
