Pours deep brown with a tan head. The aroma has rich chocolate, brown sugar, smooth roast and coffee. It has a full body with mild carbonation. The taste has lots chocolate, both milk and dark aspects along with coffee and speedway heavy roast. Really nice. MrTipple (6570) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 29, 2017
Intense coffee, dark roast filter, dark chocolate, cacao, dark, roasted malts. Hazy, very dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. More rich chocolate, dark roast coffee, cacao, soft carbonation, full bodied. Beautiful. Keg at GABF17, Denver. tiong (7669) - Espoo, FINLAND - OCT 28, 2017
750ml bottle. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of vanilla, cocoa nibs, roasty malts, hops, toffee and earthiness. Taste is smooth and sweetish with loads of roastiness, coffee, cocoa, vanilla and chocolate. Finish is sweetish and roasty with loads of coffee, vanilla, cocoa and chocolate. Slightly sweeter than the regular version, quite a lot of vanilla and cocoa here. Zymurgeist2 (2385) - Redwood City, California, USA - OCT 21, 2017
Draught at Ale Arsenal. Really enjoyable with the coffee playing out greater than the cocoa. To me, many of the varietals do not live up to the original. But solid.

Sampled at the Cambridge, black color with medium beige head and random lace. Nose is cookie dough, cocoa nibs, and rich coffee. Flavor is about the same with some coffee and cream, roasted malt, chocolate, licorice and and syrup. Light bodied for the series. Alright kathouse (1940) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - SEP 18, 2017
The coffee can really make a difference in this beer. The local roast adds a citrus brightness that I think clashes with the smooth cocoa and vanilla. I'll restate after some aging. Homer321 (5202) - Melboring, Florida, USA - SEP 18, 2017
Bottle to glass. Light cocoa and moderate coffee. Tatse is more intense than aroma. Solid profile overall. The coffee and cocoa are more prominent than the vanilla. Stoned99 (1684) - St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 9, 2017
750ml bottle shared at epic Cantillon tasting. Aroma: raw cocoa, light vanilla, subtle cinnamon, light tobacco. App: dark black with beige head leaving beautiful lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, creamy, medium sweetness, light to moderate bitter finish. Overall: typical Speedway stout mouthfeel. Cocoa is a bit too intense on the nose. Anyway. Great beer. fiulijn (21399) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 6, 2017
Draught at Rogue Kitchen & Wetbar (Convention Centre), Vancouver
Black color, small brown head. A bit too roasty, and that highlights the alcohol, hints of liquorice too.
Good but it's not down my alley.
