Wow! Big black pour with a chocolate brown head. The balance of barrel notes, coffee, chocolate and roast are stunning. Only a slight hint of alcohol stopped this from being a 5. Rating number ten just for nbutler11!! 50belair (3617) - Florida, USA - APR 2, 2013
Huge tip of the cap to my main man Hopscotch for sharing this beast. Sweet bourbon nose. Dark brown/black pour with a chocolate head. Good lacing. A real stunner with sweet chocolate, caramel, and smooth bourbon highlights. Perfect mouthfeel and balance with vanilla, oak, and expresso undercurrents. The barrel aging of this beer makes such an unbelievable difference. WOW...... Staffan47 (909) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - OCT 20, 2014
Mörk choklad i doften. Flytande choklad i perfekt balans med bourbon. Balans och världsklass, som så ofta med detta bryggeri. Sitter helt perfekt. Tack till Andreas. JPDurden24 (1675) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - APR 6, 2013
From the bottle, black pour with a small tan head. Coffee, chocolate and fudge aroma. Taste is chocolatey and a faint booze flavor. This is damn good!

750ml, black foiled bottle, via trade. poured to celebrate the completion of my residency training, this one sits a dense, inky black in the glass capped by a creamy, cocoa head that leaves rich, oily sheets of glass. aroma is spectacular, just so simple and clean, with notes of baker’s chocolate, graham cracker crust, butter pecan icing, vanilla, and toasted oak complemented by roasted malts, fresh ground coffee, figs, cinnamon, and bourbon. flavor is nothing short of perfect, exactly what a barrel aged imperial stout should be, with deep, dense roasted malts, bittersweet coffee beans with a touch of tart fruit, dark chocolate, toffee, and sweet vanilla backed by hints of french toast, ash, toasted coconut, and smooth, oak barrel with a hint of spice. palate is full bodied with a cream mouthfeel and just a marvelous balance that keeps it from being too sweet or too boozy. i still think the regular barrel aged speedway on tap (haven’t opened a bottle yet) is one of the best beers i’ve ever tasted but this is right up there. the guys at Alesmith really know a thing or two about barrel aging. well done. gunnfryd (14824) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 10, 2013

Bottle at Dean’s aged pale lager tasting. Black pour, thin tan head. Holy shit this is probably one of the best beers I’ve ever had. The aroma has roasted malts, subtle and smooth, coffee, chocolate and spices with quite some roasted malts. Flavor is very very smooth, creamy, slightly spicy, slightly bitter, great balance, slightly warming and very very very good. Amazing brew. One of the best beers I’ve ever had. Fantastic. budznsudz (582) - Audubon, New Jersey, USA - JUN 21, 2014
Midnight black with an almost reddish head of foam. Aroma is chocolate covered marshmallows, dark roast coffee beans, sweet bourbon, and ripe black cherry essence. The taste delivers on all of these elements but in a much more cohesive and intermingled way. This is the best version to date for me. Ktwse (4797) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2014
Pours black with deep tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, nuts, oak barrels, vanilla, molasses, very very nice! Taste is an onslaught of chocolate and vanilla, followed by light sweet licorice and coffee bitter finish that lasts for days. Body is rich and creamy with soft carbonation. My favorite Speedway Stout!
