Draft sample at the speedway grand prix 2013. Black pour, with a tan head. Sweet sugary raspberry, artificial raspberry flavoring, milk chocolate, mild vanilla, and cocoa nib bittering. Tastes like raspberry filled chocolates.

On tap at AleSmith, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out vanilla, cocoa and raspberry. Flavour brings out artificial raspberries, followed by hazelnuts and a little vanilla. A little too artificial for me - the raspberry is too fake and tastes more nutty than anything. Decent, but not the best variant.

Tap at Alesmith for Speedway Grand Prix. Pours inky with nice red lacing. Nose is powerful raspberry chocolate cake, chocolate mousse with berry garnish. Taste is spot on with spicy barrel (some of these taste barrel aged with the warming alcohol), mild/integrated raspberry dark chocolate bar, intense cocoa nib bitterness. Raspberry acid creates a balance. Not sticky sweet or forced- well integrated like the fresh raspberry version. Less jammy, more cake like.

On tap at brewery. Black with a thin creamy tan head. Chocolate, vanilla, and raspberry aroma and taste with strong organic coffee notes. Thick creamy and bright palate. Dry bitter raspberry syrup finish.
