This beer here, this beer I had @ the Grand Tasting... Compliments of RobertDale, a fine fellow who has impeccable taste in beer & canines. MrHangover (4693) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - JUL 15, 2014
The beer pours perfectly black with a small head.
The aroma is rich & roasty with some dark chocolate, but more just a ton of coffee character. It’s got some rich vanilla and some booziness.
The flavor is just huge, it’s got a bunch of coffee and rich maltiness. It’s ashy, somewhat sweet, but it’s go t a nice warming boozy character and.. didi I mention? fabulously balanced roastiness.
This is one of those beers where it’s hard to put a finger on why it’s so great, except to say that it is just immensely enjoyable.
Bottle, courtesy of kermis. Pours a pitch black beer with a small beige head on top. Aroma has roasted coffee, thick malty, sugary molasses, caramel and vanilla. Flavor is bittersweet, lots of coffee and vanilla. Very thick mouthfeel, syrupy, lots or molasses and caramel. Coffee influences are really upfront and balancing out the sweetness. Low carbo, very nice unit. anders37 (27062) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JUL 8, 2014
Bottle @ RBSG Grand Tasting. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty coffee aroma with chocolate hints. Roasted malty chocolate and coffee flavor. Has a roasted malty coffee and chocolate finish. kermis (14553) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUL 7, 2014
Bottle shared at the get Dean to 5000 tasting, as Dean’s 5000 - yay! Pours near black with a small beige head. Aroma of massive roast, espresso, dark chocolate, fudge. Flavour is over moderate sweet and heavy bitter. Full bodied but missing some of the complexity of other top end imperial stouts. That said, still excellent.

Bottle. Nose is a moderate coffee with some chocolate as well. Taste is a gentle roast with a powdered cocoa, slightly thick milky mouthfeel. Pretty good. beechner224 (1024) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - JUN 27, 2014
Bottle share thanks to Homer. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is bitter sweet and chocolate. Lots of chocolate. Taste is sweet up front, then chocolate bitter. Coffee may be I there, but pretty mild, finishes bitter . Really good beer, pretty thick in the mouthfeel. Interested to see how it compares to other variants. Bottle share thanks to Homer321. pours a deep dark nearly black with large light brown head. Big malty, roasty, semisweet, very chocolatey. Lots of roasty, semisweet, chocolately malt, some light coffee but not a huge presence, light boozy note.
